I'd like to see a new window open up to display a chord viewer similar to RiffStation's chords, it shows simple open chords as the song plays.
I really do get annoyed when I come across a chord that I don't know how to play. I have to stop the song, look up the chord, come back and restart the song again. It gets worst if there are 2-3 chords. This is really time consuming. See screenshot.
PS: the BB's chord window does "not" do the trick.

+1 IF and only if it shows all the chords in the chord builder! RiftStation only will show major and minor chords. I wonder what a m7b5, dim, Aug, add 9 etc chords would look like in RiftStation?
RiftStation looks like a very basic ACW IMHO.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Hey DEddy great idea, I can definitely see how that would be useful. Band-in-a-Box does already have a Guitar window that shows notes while the song is playing back, but it doesn't show full chords and can't display most of our RealTracks since it relies on MIDI data. A similar window that just shows fingering for the current chord should be fairly straightforward to set up. The only tricky part might be managing the different chord voicings our RealTracks artists use, it might be a bit confusing if the window displayed a different fingering for the chord than the one you're actually hearing.
As a side note, you can actually display guitar chord symbols for each chord in the Notation window if you go to Options | Preferences | Notation. There is a Guitar Chord Diagrams dropdown box where you can pick from different voicings (I typically use Folk). The diagrams themselves will display just above the staff below the chord symbols.
Hey DEddy, glad I could help. In addition to your tip of shrinking the font size of the chords in notation there's also a little scroll bar on the right hand side of the notation window. This lets you reposition the contents of the notation window, I usually keep everything close to the bottom of the screen to allow more room above the staff.
Have you tried the Guitar Tutor in Band-in-a-Box. If you set it on, you will see the guitar window play the chords, in the style that you want. for example, you can choose "folk-open chords" or barre chords.
