I haven't had a chance to post in quite a while, but I finally had time to record a new tune:

Saguaros

This is an instrumental tune. I'm playing clarinet, all else is from the style, and the violin is a soloist.
I am continually fascinated by the Saguaros here in Tucson, and this tune was inspired by those crazy cacti.

I used Logic X to put it together. I'd appreciate any and all comments; I'm very new at using Logic!

Here's the information from the song memo:
Title: Saguaros
Key=G , Tempo 140, Length (m:s)=5:47
8 bar intro, 48 bar chorus, from bar 9 to bar 56. Repeat x4 choruses
Soloist track has 260 notes, Soloist harmony is <no harmony>
Song is saved with Volume, Pan, Reverb, Chorus, Bank0,
Style is _EQUATOR.STY

RealTracks in style: 2284:Bass, Acoustic, BossaRon Ev 140
RealTracks in style: ~2288:Piano, Acoustic, Rhythm BossaKenny Ev 140
RealTracks in style: ~1216:Vibes, Rhythm Bossa Ev 140
RealTracks in style: 1856:Cello, Background PopCountry Ev 085
RealDrums: RealDrums in Style: BossaBrushesFull^1-a:Sidestick, Brushes , b:Sidestick, Ride

Thank you.

Very nice listen Marc. Love the clarinet. This was the first instrument I learned to place. Then the Beatles showed up on Ed Sullivan and the clarinet was traded for a guitar :-). Loved the tune

Marc,

Very relaxing and enjoyable!
I especially like the beginning with the cello leading to your fine clarinet playing.

Robert

Nice song!

We both love the clarinet and have for many years.

Your arrangement with both your playing and the RT's works very well.

You'll love Logic...been using it for three years or so.

Thanks for posting this!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
