Hi, friends ! I do apologize for not having been able to follow up on the site too often ! My other commitments have just overwhelmed me. I did also experience something I haven´t done before i.e. I just lost myself and my voice ! I wrote some 5 pieces and could not finalize not one of them as I probably wrote them too complicated or I just could not produce the voices needed for them. So, I thought I had to make it somewhat easier and so I wrote this one but even this one had to be adjusted at least three times (downward) Maybe this has to do with age ? In any case, here is FINAL RIDE based on the style: CTRYPOP.STY Instros: Bass: 1208, Guitar 1: 405, Drumes = Realdrums = Nashville Even 8/5 Hihat, ride, Pedal Steel: 603, Guitar2: 629 Synthpad: 1840 FINAL RIDE ON SOUNDCLOUD: http://soundcloud.com/user-337827005/final-rideAND ON BOX: http://app.box.com/s/n31xb5chn5dqusxcxdbs1pjswosv3tngRecorded with Mixcraft 7 Pro and stagg Mic on my Lenovo Laptop. Here are the lyrics: FINAL RIDE (MUSIC & LYRICS BY NORMAN WIBE) Hi, guys, weather´s so nice, and the surf´s on the rise grab your boards, run to the oceanside for a final ride just can´t hide, the tears in my eyes It´s been so great, you know that everything nice, has to come to an end yes we´ll have to leave, that´ll be our impending fate so don´t, be late don´t be late for the final ”bend” Let´s go surfin´, a final time, surf right soon, mornin´till noon it´s been a great great boon, yeah it´s been a great great boon Oh what fun we´ve had to ride those waves in the sun, in that hot ,shinin´sun, gettin all that copper bronze tan copper bronze tan You know we´ve been right here, yes we´ve been right here, all summer long and now we´re finally gettin´, rid of the foam home, sweet home time to leave this bay, singin´ along Let´s go surfin´, a final time , surf right soon, mornin´till noon it´s been a great great boon, yeah it´s been a great great boon Oh what fun we´ve had to ride those waves in the sun, in that hot shinin´sun, gettin all that copper bronze tan copper bronze tan Sorry to say, but season´s finally over, for the rest of the year it leaves us dreamin´, dreamin´ for another return turn, til´next turn we´ll have to live, with all those sweet, mem´ries to share we´ll have to live, with all those sweet, mem´ries to share Cheers Dani

Dani,
Nice song - I enjoyed the end of summer lyrics. Your voice sounds fine and those trademark harmonies are smooth. Your vocal range is much greater than most of us,so you have a ways to go before you meet us in the middle!

Hey Dani,
It's great to see you back posting again. The surfin', summer fun lyrics definitely get the thumbs up from me.
I agree with Robert. There's nothing wrong with your voice. As far as I could tell, your vocal cords sounded just as good as they always do.
I enjoyed my listen!
All the best, Noel

Another great delivery Dani.
You've captured the Surfin' style once again, and it was interesting to hear the pedal steel sitting nicely throughout the mix.
Nothing wrong with the vocal delivery either!
Thanks for another Dani classic.

Nice one Dani!! Fresh off your crooning Mel Torme to your Brian Wilson beach boy harmony sound. This is great. Love the melancholy of the "final ride". Great feel, and great vocals!! Take care. Greg

Hi, Floyd !
...and very many thanks for your most kind words ! I discovered that I was writing too complicated tunes and had problems singing them so I had to start from scratch and write something easier to sing (as I thought before ! started to sing the background) !!1
Cheers Dani

Your vocals sound great to me!
This is a very smooth and easy going surf song. I liked everything about this one.
Two thumbs up
Hang ten my friend!
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Hi, Greg !:))
I´m so glad you liked the tune ! It was the third version as all the other versions crashed !
I was dubious if I ever would manage to do those backing vocals but I did (on the edge) !
Muchisimas gracias por tus palabras amables !

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
