I did a Crossgrade from Win to Mac, as I had the Win Audiophile (wav) version, as Mac BB will load wav I just did the Mac app Crossgrade.
I had to rename bb\RealTracks\Library to LibraryM and bb\RealTracks\Direct Input\Library to LibraryM
I had to set default media player to MediaPlayerX.app to play the demo styles/realtracks/drums wma files in the picker windows.
It's a bit of messing around so if you're not into all of that there's Great upgrade/crossgrade special

I used https://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridgem/
I don't think there is a PG integrated version for it yet as like JBridge for WinBB (so wait for that it makes it easier to use and it's only $10),
it works in Mac OS X 10.6 to Mac OS X 10.10 only currently. Support for OS X El Capitan (10.11) is being implemented in the jBridgeM v0.94Beta.

* In Finder > User > click the Gear options > Show View Options > check Show Library Folder

I'm using it in 10.9 and Amplitube 4 64 bit seems to work fine in Band-in-a-Box 2016 Build 143 Update using JBridgeM.

Pipeline,
Thanks for the great report.

Btw, LibraryM instead of Library is needed on the Mac because Library seems to be a special name anywhere it's used. Or at lease we couldn't find any solution except to add the M character.

Have Fun!

Maybe you could get WinBB to look for Library OR LibraryM if you plug the drive back into Win you don't have to rename it each time ?

It's good it has the rename warning in the yellow flash message now.

Great job with the Mac version Peter !

I asked Joao to put the "Show User Library Folder in Finder" in his JBridgeM guide as the converted 64>32 plugs are saved there and BB has to see the folder to add them.

LibraryM solved by making a symbolic link in windows "Library" that connects to LibraryM.

EDIT: you need to keep the drive as the same letter E: F: G:.. as the symlink points the current drive letter.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
