OK, here is my entry.....Lovely Mystery https://soundcloud.com/oim-review-tracks/lovely-mystery-sept-2016-ttm-odc-smurfThe style used is _BADLAND.STY Badland Baritone Rockabilly - 100bpm A (F#m) from the Country Xtra PAK I kept the main chord structure with some rearranging becasue I liked it. After setting everything to gen simply, I re-gen the tracks until I was happy, then exported the individual tracks out to the daw. and added guitars & vocals. Lyrics are below... ===== Lovely Mystery J. Smerk 9-12-16 She likes holiday bustling, he likes serene She likes being around crowds, he avoids the scene She likes 5 course dinners, just a happy meal for me please She likes to drive Cadillacs, he's happy with a truck She likes board games, he likes to try his luck She likes to hear the violin, while he plays the fiddle (It's such a riddle) Chorus 1 It's a mystery what drew these two together And thru the years they have survived all kinds of weather Kids & homes & family mess, with the memories that they bring Of pain & loss & the joy, that makes their hearts sing She likes to go shopping, for him its such a bore She likes yachts & boating, he likes to row his own She likes hand dipped ice cream, he takes the gallon home (But I never eat alone) Repeat Chorus 1 She likes to babble on, he says a word or two She does 5 things at a time, he'll see one project thru She dresses up the dog, while he cleans up the poo (Or it gets on your shoe) Chorus 2 It's a mystery what drew these two together And thru the years they have survived all kinds of weather But when the lights go down, these two people can agree The differences are minor, to the love that's shared between Enjoy!

I must say that I really enjoyed this.
We constructed, great lyrics.
Good balance with all of the instruments in the mix.

Hey, I enjoyed this! The lyrics are well put together and the delivery spot on. It kinda reminds me of REM in places.
Also liked the additional voice effect at the end of each verse sort of like a "thought bubble".

Thanks receder!
I am working my way thru the entries and I have to say, there is some great talent on here! I always knew that there was, but it has been a few years since I have REALLY sat down & gave a lot of the tracks a good listen to.
Great job folks, ya all are some solid musicians!

I agree with Receder on the REM sound. I'm a big fan of REM. So yes, like this song too!

Thanks once again folks! I have had a few folks say that I remind them of REM....I guess I need to go give them a good listen to.
And I THINK that I have made it thru all the entries.....and I can honestly say that I am happy that I am not the one that has to do the selection, there are some great tunes here!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
