JonD wrote the chord progression, brought it over here and we put it in BiaB then searched for a style that we liked.

BiaB style - Conga Folkloric - traditional CU. We kept all of the tracks (I bet that surprises everyone) and I added a Latin percussion loop.

JonD is playing the B3. I am playing the guitar and via my MIDI guitar controller the vibes.

Awesome track, Mario (and Jon!). Makes me want to guzzle a couple daiquiris... The vibes sound great by the way -- what MIDI guitar controller are you using? How do you like it?

Enjoyed this one Carlos...er I mean Mario :-)

Cool sustain on the guitar. I also love your virtual vibe playing and of course JonD's B3.
All matched to a perfect style choice.

Great use of BIAB.

Cheers

Love how everything (BIAB Tracks) fell into place for you with this one. Kept all the BIAB tracks! Wow! It works for you this time. Nice live playing also. Nice Chord progression.

I enjoyed this one a lot.

Like Robert, we are much enjoying the Santana feel to this. There's a lot happening in this song and everything has a great place in the mix. Excellent playing by both of you and simply a fine all around production.

Nice!!!

Thanx to all and the very nice comments.

Will - I am using an old Casio MG-510:
http://www.njaz.com/guitars/casio.htm

It is a Strat style with a built in MIDI out. The 5 pin MIDI out can be plugged directly into a synth or a computer with the proper interface.

Robert, David, Scott, Greg, Janice and Bud, Alyn, Peter, - Thanx for listening and the kind words.

Rec - I ain't no Santana, that's for sure.

Tom - Thanx for noticing the chord progression. JonD and I try not to do the obvious.

Charlie - yea sometimes I keep BiaB's output. I always use BiaB's RT outputs when recording for others.

Floyd - that tone and super sustain came from Amplitube 4, an amp sym.

Thanx again everyone, much appreciated!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
