In celebration of Bob Dylan winning the Nobel Prize I have posted this sweet little lullaby for anyone who forgot that women are supposed to be treated with utmost respect at all times.

Lucifer

By David Snyder

You thought you had it good
You thought you understood
You had your best made plans
More of a mouse than man
You thought you had it made
Dark Castles never paid
Fell in the traps you laid
For all your cooks and chambermaids
Let’s call a spade a spade
You forgot the way it’s played
There’s nothing here you own
Lucifer devours his own

CH:

You’ll never have the throne
Lucifer devours his own
Makes every clown a fool
That is his golden rule
Turns every dream to black
This is hell and no way back
Turns every dream to black
This is hell and no way back

V2

While you were kissing her
It was just Lucifer
While you were chasing her
It was just Lucifer
That’s not cologne, that’s just sulfur
It’s the smell of Lucifer
It’s the smell of Lucifer

CH

While you were mocking her
Another win for Lucifer
While you were taunting her
Another win for Lucifer
Look around your empty town
Not a friend to be found
This is it you are done
Say goodbye to everyone
Say goodbye to everyone

Inst.

V3

Everything now fades to black
This is hell
There’s no way back
No way back
Everything now fades to black
This is hell
There’s no way back
No way back

Rideout

While you were kissing her
It was just Lucifer
While you were chasing her
It was just Lucifer
While you were mocking her
Another win for Lucifer
Another win for Lucifer
Another win for Lucifer
While you were taunting her
another win for Lucifer
You’ll never have your throne
You’ll never have your crown
The only way is down
The only way is down
You’ll never have your throne
Lucifer devours his own
Lucifer devours his own

David,

You have excelled yourself again!

Love the Kashmir on speed progression and great vocals.

Mr Dylan I'm sure would love it too.

Excellent.

I was right about to say I could hear Bonham hammering out that drum track... Great track David! Love the vocal delivery (even though you lured me in with false promises of a lullaby!). As always, your imagery and storytelling takes this from great to greater.

David,

Ouch! I`m going to play this as a warm-up to the next Debate.
Seriously though, there really should be more hard hitting songs like this ... you have beaten Bob & Neil to it this time.
The arrangement is great - love the layers of doom & of course that "inferno" vocal.
Scary Good.

Tell him what he won Johnny!

Thanks for "getting it" Robert. But I guess the rule applies to more than one, huh?

It was meant to be scary but I hope you don't have nightmares! Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks Will. You nailed it.

I was in fact using my "Bonham" drum kit on that one.

But ya know, when you are writing rock and roll, there really is only one question you should ask yourself, eh?

"What would Zeppelin do?"

Hi David, you nailed a cool vibe here melding Dylan and Zep together. I smiled quite a bit in this one. Good job! Thanks, Torrey.

David,

This one is interesting! Very high-pitched vocals which I always like.
Man you sure are more prolific than we are, how is that possible?
Here in Holland we are also watching the candidate debates, which are definitely interesting to look at.

Keep up the good work, but I probably won't have to tell you ;-)

Led Dylan! Awesome!

Excellent write! No doubt you will be getting a cease-and-desist-we-are-suing-you letter very soon. smile (and maybe from Zep, too smile ). HA!

A STUNNING production! Your best ever. (they just keep getting better and better). STUNNING! COOL vocal! Excellent mix.

Excellent drum opening - snare flam!!! Too many people neglect that... You listed "electric drums" - did you play that? The drums sound great throughout.

A big WOW on this one...

Thanks Floyd! smile

Yeah, I did "play" my little electronic drum kit on the computer with my fingers. It was like Gulliver's travels, but it is amazing what technology can do these days. I was two inches tall and I sat behind a Bonham kit on my machine. Tons of fun.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
