Here is a SoundCloud link to my song

https://m.soundcloud.com/torrey-bliss/you-made-a-way

This is an original tune I just posted a video of on Youtube. The lyrics are in the video. The following Realtracks really gave me the vibe I was going for. I added guitar, synths, percussion and vocals to make it happen. Thanks so much for giving a listen. God bless, Torrey

Realtracks used are as follows:
Bass - 1418 Electric Southern Rock
Piano - 1576 Acoustic Rhythm Soul 60's Held
Drums - Funk Half Note Sync
Guitar - 1236 Electric Rhythm Smooth Jazz Poppy
Strings - 2058 Celtic Air

Torrey,

Good to see you back around!

A good write - an interesting musical bed for the subject matter - not sure I've ever heard one like that... sort of a cross between Steely Dan and 80's-pop-hair-band sound. Excellent mix.

Your guitar work in this is really nice!

Enjoyed it...

Torrey,

Great production. Excellent all the way around.

I LOVE the lead guitar sound and effects, at 3:00m (awesome lick) and 3:33 on.

What kind of guitar and effects were you using to get that sound?

Torrey,

Enjoyed this song a lot.

Floyd nailed it with..."sort of a cross between Steely Dan and 80's-pop-hair-band sound."

Gotta agree with David too about the overall production and guitar sound.

Good job
Rec
P.S. Love the laid back Eagles vibe on "You Don't Give Up So Easy" which played after "You Made a Way"

Torrey, This does have a bit of a Steely Dan vibe. Great vocals and guitar. Nice mix and a great selection of Real Tracks. Enjoyed it. Tom

Thanks to all for the kind remarks. To answer David, the guitar I used for this track was an Epiphone Sheritan 2 ran through guitar rig 5 using a jazz/rock preset. Thanks, Torrey.

WOW, everything about this is top shelf as far as I am concerned. Great vocal, outstanding lyrics, super backing tracks and some super guitar chops all mixed perfectly.

Two thumbs up.

There's a LOT to love about this production.

The write, the vocals, the RT/RD's, the playing and the mix!

We think that about covers it.

Nary a nit and a bunch of "way to go's"

Pro sound all the way. Killer vocals and guitar (and tone).

One for our SC playlist!

Torrey,

This is an excellent listen (and equally excellent watch). Your composition is terrific, your singing is great, and your arrangement and mix are very well considered and expertly crafted. It's good to see your name pop up in the forum again.

All the best,
Noel
