Accusonus ReGroover Essential

Quick Note: .., this V.I can turn your BIAB real tracks library , and loops into something a million times larger, by giving multiple variations of a drum beat "WITHOUT SLICING" crazy

.., It allows the splitting of a mono or stereo Drum Track MIX >>> into individual Drum elements like Kick, Snare Hi-hats etc each residing outside of that original stereo track ON their own track ..., where you can edit away individually or move around , or add FX as you wish. This technology was previously never possible until now. cool

Accusonus REGROOVER ESSENTIAL ..., is a completely fresh new concept never seen before : http://accusonus.com/dashboard
This is the same guys that made the ground breaking Drumaton

I was using this today and I thought of how helpful this would be for BIAB Users looking for new ideas

.., and for you guys that don't have a DAW .., dont worry - YOU WONT NEED ONE wink
Regoover can be insert on your Real Drums FX slot within BIAB , where you can remix, rearrange, add more FX, or swing etc
- All within the Regroover V.I itself.
.., but if you do have a DAW , no worries you an use it there as well if you want.

.., and no I am not affiliated with Accusonus in any way, I am just a happy customer who Demoed this and then liked it and bought it, Actually I even bought the Pre-order for the Regroover PRO due out end of this month (they give you an essential licence that will convert to the pro version upon its release.)

I paid up front blindly for the 'still yet to be released" Regroover PRO Version - based solely on how well the New Regroover Essential version worked, and for how forward thinking these guys at Accusonus are with their R & D from releasing this and (last year) Drumatom.

Check it out for yourselves ..,
I will just give the links to Accusonus and watch the Video Links , then take up the free DEMO to try before you decide to buy .

Free 30 Day Demos are available from Accusonus (here) : http://accusonus.com/dashboard#downloads

Just a hint for the Midi Guys .., I have even used this to separate an audio drum groove from a CD I liked from the stereo track of a fully mixed, produced & Mastered full band recording .
(and yes there were some various unpleasant artifacts with that extraction 'due to the large number amount of tracks' the algorithm had to wade through) ...,

.., but after a couple of passes , what it did was create a lot of separation for the drums drums that I wanted - ie; away other the other non-drum instruments , and this also included separation of the including high hats , even picking up the ghost notes,
.., so I could then add those drums audio tracks with the hi-hats into Melodyne - where it then made it super easy for Melodynes algorithm to exactly calculate there those drum audio hits were so they could very accurately and quickly be converted to Midi.

Extracting this Drum Midi from that a full band stereo mix would have otherwise been too difficult to do , or been a time consuming super painful trial and error job to do in melodyne without first using regroover - due to too many other notes clouding the ones you wanted to extract the midi from wink

The applications are many with this thing - and is up to your imagination to experiment .., just like that midi tip above , which was just one thing of many i discovered from it cool

Last point : this V.I /plug has a 30 second limitation with the complexity of the calculating algorithm .., but thats plenty long enough to work on one song section at a time like a verse . or a chorus etc.

Nice find. Thanks for sharing. How long have you had it? Any surprises versus what you thought from looking at the videos?

I did have a few surprises (good ones like the last part of my comment)

.., but it had a few unwanted artifacts also (as expected for the application on which I used it)

.., but last night saw a new video on you tube where the guy in the video address that a workflow , that if used - would have corrected many of the artifacts I encounted .., heres a link to that video : https://youtu.be/QlAkzEeHbds

remember you get a free trial period when you download this . It's price is discounted ATM.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
