I am spending the holidays just exploring new features and trying some tricks...
I created a song in BIAB and entered bar based lyrics.
I then opened that same .sgu in RB and I cannot see the bar based lyrics anywhere???
I believe that it is actually more required in RB as when I record and tracking the chords that is when I do not not want to be distracted by reading lyrics from paper... it should be part of the chord window??
If the experts can confirm that it Bar Based Lyrics is not integrated with RB then I will make it my RealBand wish ....
One can only hope!!
I'm doing allright for Country Trash ....
I used to care, but things have changed (Bob Dylan)
In BB save it to video, you can unfold first Edit > SongForm in Video render you can check Scroll Ahead. In RB open the SGU click the video button at the top click Import > BB Song video with lyrics in Settings, set offset to 0 or adjust to sync
Yes as they are bar based lyrics they need to make it save as time code lyrics, as the Save Lyrics in Midi Options only works with note based lyrics. In Karakan I can sync Lyrics to the notes or Midi Time Code
To put a lyric on a place where there is no melody note, a MIDI time code can be used. A MIDI time code has the following form:
$measure:beat:tick$
Measures and beats are numbered from 1 onwards. The number of beats in a measure depends on the numerator of the current time signature. For example, if the time signature is 44, the beats in a measure are numbered from 1 up to 4, if the time signature is 34, the beats are numbered from 1 up to 3, and if the time signature is 68, the beats are numbered from 1 up to 6. The tick must be in the range [0..32767], dependent on the number of ticks per beat specified in the MIDI file. Click on the Info button on the Input tab to see the time signature(s) and the number of ticks per beat in the MIDI file.
A MIDI time code must be put in front of the corresponding lyric. For example, to place a lyric in measure 5 on beat 3, use:

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
