floyd and Michael, Cool intro, superb mix, expert vocal ( I like the delay) make this a great listen. The lead guitar was buried a bit. Drums sound great. A solid, fun rocker. Tom

I think our monitors are OK. We had to pick them up off the floor. This puppy rocks! Your ability to produce killer productions in multiple genres seems to know no end. This is a great example of how a seemingly pegged in your face production can also, counterintuitively, breath. This must have been an interesting mixing exercise.

You vocally move seamlessly from country ballads to rock and it works. That's a real gift and makes, we're sure, for a lot of fun. This cool write and production makes for a lot of fun for us also!

Floyd,

Inspired intro ( well, what else could you do with a very original title like that!) and it sounds like you really had fun with the vocal on this - energy comes powering through.
I too like this rocking side of you!

Floyd,
An amazing professional sound all round - sounds superb.
Great song - clever use of the cuckoo loop and a killer vocal.
Brilliant.

Love the cuckoo sound, when I first saw the title I didn't know what to think about it, until I listened ;-)
you and Michael did a very nice job. A great rocker all around.

Rob

Thanks!

I generally mix as loud as works. I don't believe in that -12 dB thing - at all!!! As long as it isn't distorting... and, heck... it's Rock'n'Roll. Often, it's the snare that is the thing that sends the meters into the red. I don't worry about that - it's a snare, after all... if you take that out and everything else is under, then you are okay - throw that hot drum back in!

Hi, Floyd !:))

This must be one of the
most original rock tunes I´ve
ever heard and at the same time
it is one of your absolute best
if not even the best rocker !

Those lyrics too, could not
help laughin´my belly out
thinkin´on that poor bird that
is completely innocent and can´t help
jumpin´out when the machinery
requires it to do do !!!

LOL

Cheers

Really great sounding high energy rocker.
Happy new year!

Thanks, Josie! Actually getting the cuckoo sound intertwined took some doing... turns out you have to tune it to fit in with the key of the song and stretch it to fit the tempo...

Thanks, Tom. Yeah, I agree that the lead is a bit low... I got so wrapped up in all the other parts - the cuckoo sample, the drums, the vocal processing - that my ears got used to the level it was at. Mental note..

What a nice review! If I can get such a reaction from you - the man with the perfect live band mixes - how could I not be pleased?... not sure about that "vocally move seamlessly".. HA!.. this is HARD for me! Thanks!!!

What a production!!! Stellar on every level. A full production similar to my take away from 'Diamonds' from a few years ago.

You seem as comfortable with this style as you do with ballads. Great dynamic vocals.

Enjoyed this one a lot. I've got a great image in my head of Janice and Bud jumping around trying to catch the falling monitors...

Everything that I wanted to say has already been said so all that I can add is this is another winner from Floyd and company.

This is a keeper.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

I wondered how that fit so perfectly. Cool stuff.

Another great number, Floyd.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
