Fabulous player! I've been a fan since the early 70's, own every record he ever did on vinyl and also have most of his catalog on CD.
Also saw him live three times in the 80's, twice in a relatively small club. One of the best guitarists I've ever seen, and I've seen most of them over the years.

First saw him on an edition of the "Old Grey Whistle Test" (UK music programme in the 70s) in about '73.
I'd just started playing guitar and this was the first guy I had ever seen bend a string. I was amazed and just listening to this reminds me of how he could make that guitar cry - a real master.

He was quite well known in the guitarist's world! I have been a fan of his for years. The Rolling Stones wanted him to replace Brian Jones. In fact he was their first choice. He turned then down!

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
