Thanks for the very kind words, David

[quote=RnAM]Kennny, this is very good! Very good vocals, and very professional use of the real tracks. Sort of a Joe Walsh thing.

thanks for listening and commenting, always appreciate your kind words

Wow, the message, the vocals, your guitar and the production are all high bar. This tune has such a pro studio "finished" and polished sound on our monitors.

Like Noel said, "one to be proud of."

And one to add to our SC playlist!

HiI Kenny,

Very cool! Your raspy voice is the grit that makes this exceptional. As a lead guitarist myself (Alan), I'd love to have heard the lead riffs just a bit louder. Your backing tracks are perfect for the aura.

You did a terrific job on this. The lyric, melody, arrangement and presentation were all spot on. Thanks ... we enjoyed this a bunch!

I'm glad I took the time to drop in and listen.

This reminded me of Neil Young from the start.... then when you hit the Ooh Ooh... I immediately thought.... ALABAMA.... the Neil Young song, not the band.

Yep I really like this because the style and groove are right up my alley. I was, and still am, a huge Neil fan. And this song has Mr Young's style all over it.

The lyric writing is really good and on target with a great message in there. I agree with David Snyder that the opening first "verse" is "eagles" good.

Melody and instrumentation, and lead work is also good.

Thoughts from inside my head..... I would have shortened it up a bit. 5:26 is a bit long. Repeating the first verse, because it IS so good, definitely contributed to that length. It used to be really common to repeat verses but that seems to have been replaced by writing equality good 2nd and 3rd verses. Resist the temptation to repeat your verses. I'm a big fan of long songs, especially when a good part of that lets me play my guitar. But again..... And much of this nit picking is dependent on what you plan to do with the song. For non-commercial writing... ignore it all.

I'm curious how you define the structure in this song. What you consider to be the verse, the chorus, and the bridge. This one confuses me a bit in that regard. I still like it a lot.

Yep, well done.

Thank you so much for the kind words,
I'm so glad that someone picked up on the inspiration from Neil Young's Alabama.

Hello, Kenny

Very cool and good production!
As Robert said,
Such a great band feel on this excellent, moody song and your guitar is killer - but the standout for me is your vocal.
Your husky vocal is so nice.
And your guitars really blend well with the back track.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
