I would like to see a feature in Band In a Box 2017 that when selecting the type of chord vocing, the voccing you selected would affect the real track. For examples if you choose to have all 12 bars of chords to be in the root position using a piano held Real Track, all the chords would be played in the root position and not just some random position or vocing. I know that should be possible since I know that most of the Real Track are required to be recorded with all the different inversions, voicings, and posisions of every chord.

How do you know this?

I can tell by how the chords don't always use the same voicing when I chose the chord with a real track.

Well, if it were possible, it would be a versatile feature. So I'll give the idea a +1

It might be possible but are you really to pay a lot for it and maybe for a TB drive? Why? For instance take a basic triad. You would need three different chords, one for each voicing, i.e. R, 2nd and 3rd inversions. 4 different chords for a 7th, and 5 for a 9th. The same for minor chords. Now add in all of the various extensions to these chords. Next add in all of the different styles. You would end up with a huge number of different recorded chords. (you can finish the math-I don't want my head to explode this early in the morning).
So PGMusic would have to call all the musicians back, rerecord all of the chords, and then pay them, i.e. added cost to production. Then PGMusic would have to send everything out on a large HD as DLing would be almost impossible with that many files, thus more added costs. (I'm sure our friends in countries with VAT would really love that)
Bottom line this is a good but possibly very expensive suggestion.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Precisely as Mario said. This is why I questioned the statement that all the different inversions were already recorded. A few, maybe even some, have been, but not all. Assuming it could even be controlled, just preparing this is a massive task. Of course, this is the Wishlist, so you can go ahead and ask.

I'm afraid I'm with M&M on this one, for the very reasons they already mentioned - too convoluted and costly. I think the new Chord theory thing (or whatever they call it) that's just been introduced in the 2017 version for PC is the closest we can hope for. Now, whenever me and OP may see that on our Mac end is another thing altogether.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
