This is inspired from Pinocchio - "I just want to be a real boy" (but in a modern setting)

(Even though I shouldnt) I feel love
(c) 2017 Andrew Richardson

v1/
Everything inside is scanned, MRI'd and measured
All the things I've feared and all the things I've treasured
Byte by byte my memory's been analyzed and checked
Edited and debugged to eliminate defects

Chorus/
And when the wind blows through the long grass
Under pylons
CURRENTS pulsing from the wires above
There inside a she's in a tiny corner
And even though I shouldnt I feel love

v2/
I'm told that I'm not human - I'm a bio-robot slave
I have no heart to offer and I have no soul to save
I know they can re- program me, and they would if they knew
But I know theres more to me than all I think or do

Chorus

v3 /
She's in our master's garden as I work these fields all day
Her knowledge of me gone now since they wiped those thoughts away
A fire that could consume me or a beacon on a hill
Tiny sparks of human dreams I never will fulfill

Chorus

fabkebab, I really like this one up until that robot vocal. It was really buried in the mix and I kept hearing a very annoying squeal. It was perfect in between those two robot parts. This is just my opinion and others may or may not agree.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

I agree with Mario. This is a very cool song. The robot voice does need some adjusting. I think the squeal is coming of the S's. Maybe too much reverb or something like that. But very cool lyric and vocal

Andrew,

A very interesting write. Shades of Pink Floyd mixed with a bit of Tull.

Nice vocal. Good mix. A captivating melody.

Andrew,

A really unusual song subject that, for me you`ve gotten inside with poetry.
I also liked your clear vocals and the melody.
Yes, maybe the robo voice could be improved, but this is good work!

I really like this, Andrew! A really great lyric write with a nice melody. I loved the narrative arc, and I loved the introduction of the robot voice as a new character in your song's story.

Hi Fabkebab
Really enjoyed your song.
Your voice and lyrics are great for the theme.
It's not often we get a fresh approach on the old love story.
Cheers.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
