Hi!
Loved the song - Rocking song with a bit of a Delta influence. Guitar sounds great to us. Maybe bring the drums a little more forward - actually, quite a bit more.
Great job - thanks for the treat!

Hello, Yorkshireknight
Great Rock song with very traditional blues chord progressions. Your vocal and harmony have the very good feel. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Yeah, cool song, I like it very much! Dark tone, though, but the song is great.

Thank you all for having a listen and for your lovely comments.
Kenny, you are spot on . Yes I alluded to the Bo diddly box guitar.
The Parchmans Farm was a prison. some say to get the blues you have to have done time etc etc and of course the devil relates to the selling of your soul at the crossroads.
Any ideas on 'C' land'?

Thanks Greg and Dave for your comments.
Funnily enough the song I'm working on now definatley has the '20 flight Rock' sound of Eddie Cochran.
'Summertime Blues' another great song by a brilliant performer, guitar player taken away too early from this world.

Paul, C land would be Chicago, Chi Town , The Windy City. Did you know Muddy Waters invented electricity? I liked the lyrics. The drum sound was extremely dark and muddy. Some clarity would take away the boominess of the kick drum. Other than that, it ROCKS. I enjoyed it, Tom

Hi Tom, I agree with the muddy sound. I did a master and I thought the sound was OK but it was suggested to bring the drums forward. Unfortunatley, I had just watched a YT video explaining various things to do when mastering and this sort of being fresh in my mind I tried to bring out the bass and messed with other things. I also rushed it and did'nt really listen to the song before reposting.
A Stupid Newbie mistake!
Now then Tom, you are the first to have a guess at C land or C city.
Unless my research is wrong 'C'land or C city are just two of the several nicknames for Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland is reputed to be the Home of Rock and Roll. Going back to the early 1950's it is thought that the term'Rock and Roll was first coined by a radio presenter. Alan Freed. There have been many concerts there and that is where my character was heading for a gig to get his Blues to Rock
Paul PS NO I didn't know Muddy waters invented electricity. I thought that was Newton?

We've listened to blues for decades and it was fun noting all the clever references to songs and blues greats. And, yep, you've definitely got those blues a rock in'! Cool production and rock on... We enjoyed the spin J&B

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
