2014 BIAB/RB owner. Just purchased GPO5 and have good sound, but can't see the right hand menu of the area player when displaying via the directx/vst window. Any suggestions?
Make sure you have the latest update for your version. Click the 'Support' button at the top of this page. Then navigate to the latest update for your version. For 2014 it looks like this was the last update http://www.pgmusic.com/support.realband.htm#2014_7
That's all I got (sorry). I remember this being an issue for some users, but not sure exactly when it got fixed. Hope the above helps.
Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
I just completed the update install and rebooted, but no bueno. Still unable to get to mixer and other controls on the right hand side of the Aria GUI.
I believe the resizing to support the larger VSTi interfaces was implemented in BIAB 2016, so it won't work in 2014. You would have to upgrade to get that capability.
Below is what I see in BIAB 2017.

Ah. Yes, unfortunately the right-hand side menus are clipped in my 2014 directx/vst window. Your display is what I should be seeing.
Thanks for your help!
*** Message to PG Music *** I love your product, but if you are going to promote 3rd party add-ons you should probably let folks know about compatibility issues like this. Knowing that my 2014 BIAB/RB version would not allow me full access to the Garritan Aria Player controls may have affected my purchase decision. Thanks!
Well, to be fair, it was fixed after it was reported (and it only popped up with the newest Aria player released with GPO5; the old player displayed fine), but they don't go back and fix previous versions.

So, I get that PG Music made a business decision to address this bug in a way that results in only those versions of BIAB/RB since 2016 being able to properly access the full Aria Player menu. As someone who also makes their living managing software products, I don't necessarily agree with such a decision, but I do get it.
What I don't get is why, within either PG Music's web page promoting this add-on product or their tutorial advising how to set up GPO for use within RB, they don't advise pre-2016 users like me that "only BIAB/RB versions since 2016 will be able to successfully access the Aria Player's menu controls" or something similar. Such knowledge could have made a difference in my decision to purchase GPO5 at this time.
Be aware that the updated ARIA GUI is not the ONLY plugin that you will have issues with, in BIAB/RB 2014. Any VSTi/VST that does, or can be, dynamically resized at opening (the plug-in does teh resizing - not PG) seems to have issues. And like John said, these were reported and FIXED with a patch the year they were reported (I know I reported TWO myself).
Another example that WILL NOT have a workable GUI in BIAB/RB 2014 is the newest Roland Sound Canvas VA (not to be confused with ANY OTHER, AND OLDER, Roland SC VSTi/DXi SC plugin).
You'll have same issues with that GUI as well - only in this case you can't expand window DOWN to get at the 16 parts!
I have other (NON PG software), and not all of it is music/DAW related, where features, bugs, plugins, etc. only work in a NEWER version of their SW, so it's not that just PG.
Good Luck
Larry

This may or may not help, I seem to remember that I had to minimise the vsti window then return to normal size. This then gave the scrolling bars (which were missing with the original vsti position) so that I could see all the controls in the vsti.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
