"It's only rock and roll...."
But I like it!
You had me hooked right from that very cool intro. As Bob said, "Awesomeness and Greatness!"

Very nice guitar riff, and a an interesting "dark" piece with a good passionately sung chorus. Like Floyd I picked up a Talking Heads vibe. Nicely done.

Love the sinister vibe you`ve created on this song and your vocal, especially on the chorus, is fantastic. Another excellent musical surprise!

Man, your songs are so violent Not sure if we "AmsterDamners" can take it! The song itself reminds us of bands like the Cure è all. But... nice work again David.

Another Snyder
That was absolutely awesome.
What an arrangement, and lyrically astounding.
Just been catching up on things here on the forum .
Why is it all the up coming musicians/songwriters are all hiding on this forum.
Amazing stuff.

HI David,
I remembered we listened to this over on Soundcloud and left you a comment over there. I thought we'd come back and left one here - obviously not!
This song has a finely-honed rough edge. Gritty, edgy, compelling and a lot of other similar words would work here. You're always original and uber-creative! You never fail to surprise and and leave smiles on our faces. pretty danged cool, our friend!

David, as Peter said this is definitely dark but at the same time it is real life all over this world. You built an interesting song around a very simple riff but it works. I wish I could come up with at least half as many song ideas as you do. Take care, Torrey.

David, you knocked this one out of the park.
Great guitar, backing tracks and vocal. Did you have Sid Vicious in mind when you wrote this? Or maybe Kurt Cobain?
Regardless great song with some very dark but excellent lyrics.
Ps - I would play it for the wife but she might get some ideas in her head.

Don't hear too many songs about love and murder. But somehow I am not surprised that a song such as this would come from the pen of David Snyder. Like you said, it's only rock n roll...
Good energy on this one. Lyrics are well crafted. Don't forget to take your meds.
(Really enjoyed it!)

David, Great guitar figure that carries the song. The dark lyrics fit the mood of the music bed very well or vice versa. Well mixed. Another very creative submission. Well done. Tom

Sheeesh...we have plenty of reasons for enjoying our simple hermit like life in our home in the forest. And now more reasons Don't think I'll go to town today. Tom nailed it with "The dark lyrics fit the mood of the music bed very well or vice versa." Dark indeed and also reflective of a very sad reality. This is a strong and evocative production. J&B

A little jerkier on the rhythm and this'd be a lost late talking heads track. Nice one. It all works except for the intro drums - something about it - but that's personal taste. David Byrne'll be peeved as he hasn't written anything this good in decades.

Thanks Ray! Just the comparison is good enough for me and I will take it! Thank you!!! As for the drums, I guess I see what you mean, but I was doing my absolute best to produce a totally goofy mid 80s Talking Heads style drum intro and that's the goofiest I could come up with so I guess I'll have to live with it. At least it's in time.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
