Hi Guys & Ladies !:))

Having suffered a bout of
nostalgia I just had to
redo one of the original songs
on my 1992 record ! I dubbed
the song " SING AND SWING" which
is the exact equivalent of the
original name of the song written
in Swedish !

I had worked a bit on this one before
I discovered that less is more when
it came to different voices as they did
blur the song too much so I reduced them
to what you can hear on this track.

This is what someone of you might
call a feelgood song as was the
intention from the very beginning
and I really hope you´ll experience
it that way also.

Recorded with Mixcraft 7 pro, Stagg Mic,
compressor and reverb used.

The Style is POPJZSW.STY and the instros are:
Bass: Hi-Q034, Piano: 2198, Drums: RD:s PopJazzLiteSw
Guitar 1: 1228, Artist: strings, Guitar 2: 962
The solo is played with my Fender Mexico and the
fills with my Ovation Celebrity Acoustic

Here are the links:

http://soundcloud.com/user-337827005/sing-and-swing

http://app.box.com/s/kow9n1gq6zrft621xxlmfilvbwm0krp9

The Lyrics are as follows:

SING AND SWING ( Music and Lyrics by Norman Wibe)

When you feel completely blue and gray
and you´d rather move around than stay
when you feel like running come what may
don´t you mind if this is what I´ll say:

”You better take a swing and sing this song
that´ll make you feel allright now
sing and swing along
that´ll make you so fine
yeah so fine, yeah so fine
makes you sway down the line
you gotta swing and sing along
that´ll make you feel allright now
sing and swing along
that´ll make you so fine”

You gotta believe me, believe me
I know what you need to do
darling you´ll see, you´ll see
this is just the tune that´s ment for you

When you feel so close to dull and down
and it feels like you´ve just lost your crown
when you walk around with features frown
and you know you need another gown

”You better take a swing and sing this song
that´ll make you feel allright now
sing and swing along
that´ll make you so fine
yeah so fine, yeah so fine
makes you sway down the line
you gotta swing and sing along
that´ll make you feel allright now
sing and swing along
that´ll make you so fine” ……….solo

When you feel you´re deeply in the blue
and it seems your dreams just won´t come true
when you feel your feet are in the glue
come along and sing along you too:

”You better take a swing and sing this song
that´ll make you feel allright now
sing and swing along
that´ll make you so fine
yeah so fine, yeah so fine
makes you sway down the line
you gotta swing and sing along
that´ll make you feel allright now
sing and swing along
that´ll make you so fine”

Cheers
Dani

Hi Dani,

Now that's a real toe-tapper! Love the casual swing sentiment. And those key modulations were a nice touch. Key modulations give a song a new boost and freshen it. Nice job, Dani! Glad you re-did this one for us.

Hello, Dani

This is another nice suffer tune.
But a little different from usual Beach Boys' sound.
The key change is also nice as usual.
Very swingy.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Dani, this is outstanding. Love the modulations and the casual swing while do you a great job with the sing. This genre fits you perfectly. Super sweet guitar lead. See I told you that you were a lead guitarist whistle

You should be very proud of this one.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
