You may have (probably) seen this going around facebook and it seemed sort of fun...but to me, MUCH more fitting for a site with musicians. So, here's mine...
The list below is 21 bands/artists I’ve seen in concert, but one of them is a lie.
Lorrie Morgan Pantera Chick Corea Bon Jovi Luke Bryan Johnny Cash Depeche Mode Justin Bieber Rush Rick Springfield The Oak Ridge Boys Little Big Town Cheap Trick Little River Band Kutless Billy Joel The Monkees Rascal Flatts Cinderella Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Journey
Which one is the concert I really haven’t seen?

Good grief if you don't know now in hell are we supposed to know
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware
IDK.... but that's a diverse list. I've only seen one on your list.
My list would be... in no particular order ...bands I have seen.
Chick Corea Mountain J Geils Johnny Winters Edgar Winters Rick Derringer Deep Purple ZZ Top Black Sabbath Wishbone Ash George Strait Patty Lovelace Kenny Chesney Faith Hill Tim McGraw Peter Frampton Yes Herbie Hancock The Outlaws Marshall Tucker Band Bob Segar Poco Blue Oyster Cult Ted Nugent Damn Yankees Bad Company David Allen Coe Leanne Rimes
between the years and the smoky haze .... I know I'm missing a few others. But I will say, I have never seen Justin Bieber. Just sayin....
edit to add:
Jimmy Buffett... the Coral reefer was heavy on this one.... Molly Hatchet Nantucket Michael W Smith Casting Crowns Relient K David Crowder FogHat The Cowsills The Isaacs.
and there's a bunch of other lesser known, mostly regional type bands....... to many to name or remember.

I probably forgot a few along the way, and there are a number of local bands and music performers that I've seen, but I'm happy to have seen so much live music on a limited budget over the course of my life.
And then there's my collection of 1500 vinyl record albums, 800 audio cassette tapes, and 2000 or so audio CD's for many more acts I wish I could have seen live.
It's all good.

Alright class, read the instructions carefully. 20 of the bands I have seen. 1 I have NOT seen. You are supposed to try to guess the band I have NOT seen
Surprisingly, Mario's answer is the closest so far!

TEMPO TANTRUM: What a lead singer has when they can't stay in time.
When I look at that list, the one that is not like the others seems to be Justin Bieber. That's my guess based on nothing else.
Great guess! HOWEVER, we can eliminate it because I have, in fact, seen a JB concert. We brought two of my daughters to see him at his very first concert ever! So strange...tickets were $10 each, and parents got in free!
1 down 20 possibilities left. Well, technically still 21 if someone would guess JB again
Others can make their lists as well, just make sure to include an act you haven't seen.

I'm actually a production junky...also used to do a lot of light programming. I'm not going to say I love all of the bands music, but did see them live. The lights were amazing for that time.
Great guess though!

I read them but I don't play by the rules and never play those FaceBook games and quizzes. Not even here.... but I'm down for posting a list of who I've seen because it's fun just trying to remember all the shows through the decades.

You never playing those games sounds like a self imposed rule. You really should have broken it then
I believe this is the first time I have ever done one. I didn't even do it on facebook! I thought it could be fun here, because I was hoping it would carry on a bit better here with us all being big fans of music. I like learning things about the people I interact with...and I guess did.

Agreed, and that's been done here before so I was looking to do something a little different by actually having people find out about each other and REALLY actually look at the list.
Oh well. This went almost nowhere. LOL

TEMPO TANTRUM: What a lead singer has when they can't stay in time.
The Beatles ELO Earth Wind and Fire Average White Band James Brown The Temptations The Supreme Todd Rundgren/Utopia The Tubes The Who The Rolling Stones Genesis Alice Cooper Linda Ronstadt Dixie Chicks Chicago Bruce Springsteen Boston Yes Emerson Lake & Palmer Stevie Wonder Tower of Power
That's 22. The list is much, much longer, and many of those listed I have seen more than once. I have seen Todd at least 40 times over decades. I was at the shows that were used on Back To The Bars.
Some of them go back to a time when a concert was $5. When I was in the Army in Oklahoma, which makes it 1973, there was a show in OKC that was The Band, Buddy Miles, Deep Purple and Santana. The tickets were
EIGHT DOLLARS!
I smashed the hell out of my car today. When the cops came I told him "Officer, that guy was BOTH texting and drinking a beer." The cop said "Sir, he has every right to do that. I mean, it's HIS living room..."
I remember I was going to search for...what was it?...Ok, I remember watching a video about the space shuttle, how to patch a leak in the ceiling, "13 amazing things you can order on Amazon"...was there a dog video?...anyway, what were we talking about?

It's not that I have a self imposed rule or hate games..... but the majority of games on FB want access to your data and history, pictures, messages, etc, etc....
The ones that ask you to copy and paste have their pitfalls too..... it provides a quick way for someone to find you with a quick search of the copied and pasted words....
But mainly, I don't have the time. I'm either here, or in one of the dog training or prepping forums reading the buffoonery or contributing to it.

Ok, but this did none of the above.

I'm thinking it would have taken less time to guess a band/artist from the list than to respond a few times about how you don't have time for this type of thing
Herb, I respect you, I would think you know that. I seriously NEVER take part in games on facebook. I'm on it for professional reasons, and that's about it.
This was something I saw as different. There was no click bait. There was no "cut and paste." I thought it would be an interesting and funny look into our fellow forumites lives. I was hoping others would post there's as well. It makes you think a bit more about the person behind the screen, in my opinion.
Your comments seemed a bit more about being against it because that's "just the way you are"...paraphrasing. It's almost a bit troll-ish in my opinion. Not in a big way, but slightly.
It's all fine and good. No harm, no foul...never understood that really, but I get the idea. It just surprised me a bit I guess.
I try my best to learn from situations. This is no different. Life is good
Enjoy the weekend and those dogs of yours. That's impressive work you are doing there my friend! We just rescued a puppy two months ago...it's been interesting. You and Charlie could probably give a TON of insight in to the "do's and don't's!"

Ha! Fair enough.

BTW; the icon to insert a link is found in the full reply mode and is the 2nd icon from the left on the toolbar. Perfect link insertion every time.
Yup, I am familiar with that one. I was trying to post a youtube video, but the video doesn't show as anything more than a link. I used the 5th from the right icon to do it. It's hit or miss with me.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
