Hello, everybody

There are many pop songs made by quoting the famous classical melody.
I also tried to make such a song.
I quoted the melody in the C part of this song.
If you are a classical connoisseur, I think you will immediately know which part of which song I quoted, but I will not write it here now. I will make it later.
If you know which song of which composer, please comment.
Any comments encouraged.
Have at it.

Best regards.

Shigeki Adachi

Tlanslation of lyrics

Let's sing again today
The words I wrote
With the melody you play
It is a love story of someone
Living somewhere else

Sweet love and bitter love
Melt them in your piano
They are born and flowing
Until the evening sun sets

That boy grabbed love
Instead of a spilled ball
That boy took my promised ring away
Only the burned-out pictures are left
I woke up from a sweet dream with only a paper
Reality is cruel aching like a migraine

Let's sing again today
The words I spun
Putting on the sound you play
It is a love story of someone
Living somewhere else

Young love and ripe love
Melt them in your piano
They are born and flowing
Until the morning sun rises

The boys are comforted
By angels with broken wings
The triangle ruler the boys made
Remained cracked
The past will not be restored
We must live reality hiding it in our wounds

Dreams melt in the sky with no stars
The voices vanish like foam
They are born and flowing
Until the life is over

Let's sing again today
The words born to me
With the melody that you left
It is our love story
That will never come true

Shigeki,

Another very pretty and well arranged song from you. Your backing tracks are beautiful and the mix is perfect. You did a fantastic job with it but still a little undecided about the vocaloid voice.

The song is really pretty! we admire your creative skills. It sounds like something Celine Dion might sing. Wishing you the very best.

Beautiful job! I also am undecided about vocaloid voices. However they can serve as a placeholder for a human voice. Regardless the song is really pretty with some fine production skills on display. Tom

Shigeki,

I enjoyed this song for the pretty melody (sorry, no guesses on the classical inspiration) and your fine production.
I would love to hear it sung by the very talented female vocalist you have used in the past.

Shigeki,

Your songs are always extremely melodic and you do manage to be creating with the accompaniment.

This was another enjoyable contribution.

Nice production and backing - very pretty melody. I'd also like to hear it sung by one of the talented artists who performed your songs in the past.

Hmmmmm. I can't place this as classical, though it reminds me of something from Broadway I can't quite place either, right off the bat.

It's a beautiful song though. Great job!

We have, at best, only peripheral knowledge of classical music but that does not keep us from appreciating this lovely arrangement and the talent that went into the composition and production.

It sounds tremendous on our monitors!

You are a very talented arranger. Very nice piece of music.

My guess for the classical quote: Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata

(edit) I change my mind. Could it be Canon In D by Pachelbel?

Hello, Alan & Di, Tom, Robert, Trevor, Peter, Torrey, floyd, David, Scott, Joe, Kenny, Janice & Bud, Bob and Lawrence

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I much appreciate your very very kind words and your continuous supports.
I am very happy you all like this tune and arrangement.

Alan& Di, Tom, Robert, Peter,
I have a plan to re-record this song with human female vocal.
After finishing the work, I would like to post it in this forum.

Robert, Janice & Bud, Lawrence,
Thank you very much for your guessing the classical quote.
Lawrence, it is true the chord progression of this song has been made to translate the structure of Canon In D by Pachelbel directly to the parallel minor key.
But there is a song which melody is completely same as my tune.
The song I quoted in the C part is Aria"Magnificat"by G.P.Telemann, German composer in the Baroque period.
It is one of my favorite songs in the Baroque period.

The links below are the orchestra version and the choir version of the song.

the orchestra version

the choir version

Thank you again to all.

Hi Shigeki,

We love the intimate sound of 初音ミク.

Hello Shigeki Adachi,

As I'm sitting here typing, the sound of Miku is still rolling around in my mind. You have such a wonderful gift for writing melodies and harmonising them with exquisite musical texture.

Charlie Fogle used the word "eloquent" when commenting and I have to agree. I would add "elegant" to that as well. The sound to my ears is beautiful, flowing and captivating.

I know very little Telemann and would never have guessed who this music was modelled on. When I zipped over to Youtube with the links you've given and played the clips, I immediately heard the similarity and recognised that I have heard this before although I did not know who wrote it.

Thank you for broadening my musical horizons.

All the best,
Noel

Hello, Noel

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I much appreciate your very very kind words and your continuous supports.
Your comments are always very welcome.
Classical music is really deep inside.
I think you are a true classical connoisseur.
This time I clarified the quotation source, but to tell the truth I prefer to hide classical themes secretly in my music.
And actually I sometimes make mischievous to do so.

Best regards.

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
