There sure has been a lot of pretty stuff on here lately.

I thought I would throw a hand grenade onto the field.

Ready for the Flood

By David Snyder

V1

Well I’m ready
For getting rough
And I’m ready
To tear it up
And I’m ready
To show my stuff
Cause I’ve already
Had enough

CH:

And I’m ready
For the flood
And I’m ready
To draw some blood
Cause I’ve already
Had enough
And I am ready, ready for the Flood

V2

Cause I’m ready
For taking names
And I’m ready
To put an end to these games
I say mama
It’s a crying shame
The walking wounded
In a cross fire hurricane
The walking wounded
In a cross fire hurricane

CH

Instrumental

V3

And I’m ready
For Mick and Keith
And I’m ready to let it bleed
And I’m ready for double speed
And I’m ready to get just what I need

CH:

And I’m ready
To rock and roll
And I’m ready
to take control
there’s a dark cloud
Spreading cross my soul
And I’m ready
To show you what I know
And I’m ready
To show you what I know

Well now ... that was quite a hand grenade! I know a little about them - got scars on my face to prove it.

That's quite a mash of instruments - but it works! The lead instrumental was the best part. And loved the ending. if you could bring those drums a little more forward in the mix, I think it would put a real accent on this one.

You have the hard rock touch, David! Cool song! Wishing you the best.

David,

What do you get when you mix a little Zeppelin, Dylan and Ozzy? You get "Ready For The Flood"! The production on this song is outrageous - it sounds live! Awesome 70s rock vocal.

Loved it!

David, your music is very original and has a one of a kind sound. The guitars sound really good and I agree that you should turn up the drums. I enjoyed it. Tom

Vintage David Snyder, AND that's always a good thing!! Very interesting stuff-creative, original and very well done. I can usually pick out chord progressions with one listen but this would take me a week. Enjoyed it much!! As others said, bring the drums up! Take care. Greg

Hello, David

Awesome chord progression!
Really unique and creative.
I cannot imagine how it is assembled.
Vocal and the lead guitar is definitely rock and punk.
As floyd and Tom said, I also think you should turn up the drums.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Hey thanks, Alan and Di. I appreciate that.

Am hearing a lot about those drums. An engineer in LA actually told me to turn them down from the first mix so that the scorching guitar riff would stand out.

I am fooling with yet another addition to my mastering software for my next song so we will see how that works. Very delicate balance this stuff, but I am glad you liked it!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
