Ian Webster, the guy who programs the Krakli line of synthesizer plugins, has created a Yamaha CS80 synthesizer clone and the demos sound very Vangelis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvLHm0HFwykThe VSTi is only available from the Krakli Plugs facebook group right now. If you like Vangelis and want to have a synthesizer that he famously used across his career, then this plugin has that capability. Ian will eventually make the plugin available from his website. One of the other gems of his that I use regularly for inventive pads is his Cygnus plugin. I particularly like the GUI for Cygnus that looks like a shot of the starry skies, it's great for patch programming without a preconceived notion of what envelope shapes and filter settings one should start with. When I asked to join the FB group, I was approved within minutes and dowloaded the zip file immediately. I will begin twiddling the presets and trying out some bladerunner action soon.

Larry I'm not sure I will know that. Since I have the plugin now, I don't really have a need to check Ian's website. I might go back there tonsurf some of his other offerings, as I am a regular user of his Cygnus plugin and haven't checked through his perhaps more recent plugins since Cygnus.

So, I finally had a chance to play around with the Arminator plugin tonight. I programmed the original brassy chord sound in this song and the bass, used some loops for the drums, and then used some of the more odd sounds for leads. Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
