My, friends ! I must confess that the reason for my absence has been mostly due to deterioriating voice and power, something that probably comes with aging ! A time ago I also suffered a severe infection of my throat, which took away my singing voice and capability to control it completely. I have fought to be able to post this song and though I could not do it the way I wanted I think it is acceptable for posting ! Please forgive me for having been away but I am sure you can understand the frustration this has posed on me. http://soundcloud.com/user-337827005/cant-singhttp://app.box.com/s/st5df6dwgzup9ygiqctgktoawuk13pls The Style is : _JBallad. Cheers Dani Here are the lyrics: COULDN´T SING ( MUSIC AND WORDS BY NORMAN WIBE) Hi, friends, some time ago I couldn´t sing at all ´cause I lost my voice only noise you could hear comin´out of my mouth I was frightened and full of fear thought this was, the end of song my comfort for so long did not seem a way out, so I left it all behind Don´t know what brought it on it surely brought me down hadn´t it been for you I would still be blue though I´m here, recov´rin´ I owe you everythin´ please my darlin´ sweetheart Li won´t you come to me so I can bring you all my love for being more than kind (to me) I love you always day and night you make my heart so light you´re like a shinin´star shinin´bright and far Don´t know what brought this on it surely brought me down hadn´t it been for you I would still be blue though I´m here, recov´rin´ I owe you everythin´ please my darlin´ sweetheart Li won´t you come to me so I can bring you all my love for being more than kind (to me) My Love

A beautiful song with a lovely melodic tune. I hope you get your voice back in due course as it's a very fine tenor voice.

What a gorgeous tune, Dani Even if your vocal delivery isn't up to what you consider your standards, it manages gives it an eary and unique quality that I absolutely love. Most aren't very familiar with the artist - but you remind me of Sparklehorse a bit here. Thanks so much for sharing! Also, the fact you're not giving up even after having lost your voice is inspiring
Cheers, Deryk

It's definitely beautiful! Lovely harmonies. Sorry to hear about your health problems, but in this song you still sound great, and vulnerable too, which gives this song a beautiful touch.

Hi, Deryk !
Thank you for your most kind comments ! This may sound okay but in reality I´ve put down extremely much work just to be able to show that I´m still "true to the cause and this site" !
I also want to thank you for your kind well wishes I do not want to give up but if the downhill continues I am not sure what I can do.
I have written pieces I cannot perform at least the way they should !
Cheers Dani

Dani,
A very cool sound on this. Your voice is the main instrument in this - sounds great. Beautiful melody.
The strings work great. The guitar, too!
Smooth. A good listen. Keep at it, buddy...

Dear "dani48"...
Emotions are feelings, and vice-versa. The sound of those feelings could range from a whimper to a shout, but what penetrates the listener is the feeling within the sound.
Far as I'm concerned, you could have hummed, or whistled, even, the melody to Mr. Wibes lovely, wistful song, and no one within range of hearing it would be able deny the effect it had on their hearts. Your warm vocal harmonies infuse sweetness into the semi-bitter lyrics.
Whatever problems you believe are affecting your singing voice are more than resolved by the obviously direct pipeline that exists between your heart and the way you express what's in it. Nonetheless, I hope that you find relief from whatever is ailing you, and soon.
"bluage" (a.k.a. Loren)
P.S. The photo of you and your partner on the song's SoundCloud page is worthy of a song in itself!

Hi Dani.
Beautiful.
It may not have your usual power, but for this song it doesn't suffer at all from that.
You voice lends a lilting and magical quality to the whole thing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Whatever you do, don't give up - we need you here!
Cheers, ROG.

Welcome back Dani
I think your voice is fine, maybe you are being too critical of yourself.
Another very beautiful melody, thoroughly enjoyable.

Thank you David for your compassionate and kind words ! One can always hope, but after having listened to Brian Wilson over in Pori recently I understand that our voices just weakens over time, that is a natural thing but very hard to accept for a person who has been " living on his singing voice" !
Cheers Dani

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
