I just purchased the Elements bundle and the Waves RX headphones utility. I managed to get them to work in Reaper very quickly and registered them. No problems. Using jbridge I managed to get neutron to work in BIAB, but it was all a bit slow and laboured, so I tried to set up neutron, ozone and RX in Realband. No joy. I installed minihost, but I don't want to purchase minihost if i don't need it. What am I missing here with this? I assumed Realband as a 32 bit DAW would accept Ozone etc via jbridge. I guess I can just do all the mixing and mastering in Reaper, but it would be nice to know if it could be done in Realband.
Thanks and sorry if I'm being dumb.

What version of jbridge are you using? A version specific to PG Music products was released a few years ago. The PG Music version is available from PG Music for $10. There have been several jbridge updates since the specific to PG Music was released. I do not know if the later versions available from jbridge incorporate the functions needed for the product to work with PG Music products. Perhaps somebody from PG Music support or jbridge support knows.
I bought it from PGMusic when I purchased 2017. Have to say, I'm loving Reaper so far. Like many, I suspect I'll go BIAB - RealBand (if required) - Reaper. I even got that new Windows 10 audio interface whose name I forget.

I figured out the 32 bit version using IL Minihost by following Pipeline's suggestions. I haven't tried it at 64 bit yet. They're not linked up properly - that's just for demonstration purposes.

To just use waves apps you don't need to do all that extra work/routing. You don't even need JBridge to use 32-bit NX - Waves provides both a 32 bit and 64 bit NX in one, actual more than a few Waves apps come in both "flavors" (32 and 64). Form and an old thread (same subject)
AND I JUST tested this with 32-bit NX in PowerTracks and RealBand HOWEVER, the link to shell2vst.exe provided in the instructions is bad so scroll up one or two entries to popboy's to get link also.
I COPIED but updated some things from the older PG thread on this (no reason to re-write all of it)
1 - Download Shell2vst.exe from http://www.xlutop.com/buzz/zip/shell2vst.zip 2 - Copy Shell2vst.exe to C:\Program Files\Waves\Waveshells 3. - Drag and drop each "WaveShell-VST x.x.x.dll" onto the shell2vst.exe (But not WaveShell-Direct X...dll or the WaveShell-Direct X...dll) If prompted to overwrite, choose "no"
some new notes to this: a. This may, or may not, be obvious but: “Shell2vst.exe” is for 32 bit shells (aka “WaveShell-VST x.x.x.dll”), and b. “Shell2vst63.exe” is for the 64-bit Waves shells (aka “WaveShell-VST x.x.x_64.dll”)
4 - A new "Waves" folder will be created that contains all the waves plugins as individual .dll files
UPDATE NOTE ON THIS ONE also: both 32-bit and 64-bit waves .dlls, as they are broken out by this utility, will have the same .dll name(s). So if you want BOTH 32 and 64 bit versions broken out suggest you break out all the 32-bit ones then rename that folder to "waves-32" or move all the new .dlls to your normal 32-bit VST plugins folder(s), then run all the 64 bit ones and then the ones in the new "Waves" folder will only be 64 bit .dlls
5 - Copy the newly created "Waves" folder into your shared Vstplugins folder (Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins) or leave it where it is since for PG applications like Realband you have to point to a specific .dll in its specific location anyway. But for neatness this is s GOOD suggestion. 6 - Remove the WaveShells from your shared Vstplugins folder
No need to do this step for if using just PG apps, but depends on how you set up your VST’s for OTHER DAW’s and hosts so up to you
Good Luck Larry
PS: Yes, I also tested the 64-bit version of NX just to trigger JBridge inside Realband and the 64-bit NX also worked.
Good luck

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
