Hi guys. It used to but i must have done soemthing dumb and now its silent.Is there a setting procedure? I cant remember having to do one when i got BB2017 and i know I have used it previous but now nothing!
Reason for it is that I am copying in some sheet music and it asks for Asus2. Each time I put it in all I get is A2 and Asus (if I try it) doesnt sound right so I'm hoping Chord Builder will let me investigate options.
But how do I get my sound back without messing up say my Forte DXI?

A2 is the closest you'll get for Asus2, although technically it isn't an Asus2.
BIAB support Asus4 and Asus as equivalent, and plays it properly (remember the sus chord substitutes for 4th for the 3rd, so an Asus4 would be A-D-E. The A2 is really PGMusic's implementation of the add9 (which is actually generally implemented as more of an add2 in the MIDI styles). However, an add9 doesn't substitute the 2nd for the 3rd (as a true Asus2 would do), but instead adds the 2 to the normal chord triad (but it depends upon the style). So what you can potentially end up with is A-B-C#-E instead of just A-B-E.
As far as sound, I believe it requires that you use the default Microsoft WaveTable to hear chord builder. I just don't remember off the top of my head the directions for setting it to run in the background and still run Coyote Forte as your DXi synth (I'm not at my music computer, so I can't check it out).

For sound...
As John says, the Microsoft GS Wavetable driver needs to be selected. This is found in 'Options | Midi Driver' and is under output drivers. Simply select this and also have th DXi/VSTi instrument selected.

Thank you for this help Noel and John.I got my chord builder to work now-phew!
Stiull cant find the lost chord. lol! Nearest is Aadd2 but its still got that certain somethnig missing. I'll get there! John. I did find your technical notes interesting although i dont know the ins and outs of it. I cant read music. But it was good to follow this trhrough by playing the notes and hearing what you mean.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
