Just your typical Blues instrumental. Nothing special. It's one I put together while I was undergoing my chemo almost 2 years ago. I'll post the tracks as soon as I can find them - had a bit of a 'puter problem yesterday and everything isn't where it once was. Thanks for stopping in for a listen. (c) 2015 BMI

Alan

PS: I ADDED THIS EDIT ON SATURDAY, 9-23-2017, SINCE SO MANY FOLKS HAVE ASKED. THIS IS *ALL REAL BAND* TRACKS. I AM NOT PLAYING ANYTHING. AT THE TIME I DID THIS, I HAD ALMOST NO FEELING WHATSOEVER IN MY LEFT HAD DUE TO MY EMERGENCY SURGERY AND THE EFFECTS OF THE CHEMO. HAND IS BETTER NOW - ABOUT 70% FEELING BACK.

Bad Boy Blues

(Tracks will be posted when I find them.)

Very nice, Alan! You are playing the Organ I take it? Nice melody. Good use of shots, and I like the horn arrangement too.
Good stuff, enjoyed the listen!

Very Bad Boy Blues, but no wonder you felt a bit that way when this was written.

This is really cool blues. Very nice indeed.

Fellow big C survivor this is some great blues! I always loved that B3 and guitar combination. You just can't beat it!

Did you play any of the instruments or are they all RTs?

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Well, we have to agree that this definitely hit the spot!
Cool work Al!
And yes, are you playing the organ? Because it's definitely nice!

very nice,

I love it when BiaB can translate the mood and feel

that you have in mind

and the more you work with it, the quicker you can get to that

some awesome guitar soloing there

Alan

A nicely constructed blues tune - with very nice organ - the horns sound played as well?
Good tune.

I'm also really digging in the organs on this one, and am also curious if you played any of the parts? The guitar also sounds pretty fantastic as well. I couldn't make anything half as beautiful as this if I were going through something like that. Props to you!

Cheers,
Ember

Al,
Very nicely put together, with a relaxed feel and space for that B3 to riff in.... guess we are all wondering if that`s you playing!
Good work.

Glad you enjoyed it! I just edited the original post to say that I played nothing on it - it's all Real tracks. I would have done the guitar part had I been able to play. Thanks so much!

HI VT:

Always nice to hear from you. I just edited the original post to say that I played nothing on it - it's all Real tracks. I would have done the guitar part had I been able to play.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I wasn't feeling real bad at the time - just frustrated I wasn't able to play the guitar - I still have issues playing. Oh well, I'm here to complain about it! Thanks again.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
