Dang it, Bob, I just ordered four other fake disks/books from you. Now I'm going to have to spend even more money. smile

Seriously, though, thanks for keeping it "REAL". I have always enjoyed your fake disks and they are a lot of fun to play and sing along with.

They are downloadable and not very large files (they are just .SGU files, but Bob has done all the work of inputting the chord progressions, as well as figuring out appropriate styles to go with each song).

Thanks for the kind words John and Matt.

Edward, they are available via direct download. Within 60 seconds after your credit card is approved, you will get another e-mail from me titled, "Electronic Product Delivery Instructions". It will contain download link(s) a temporary username and a temporary password.

In the unlikely event that you have any trouble, I'm here to help.

Hi, I meant the Fakebook, is it also available for download? Realbook 6th edition, as well as the others? I’m asking because mail theft if huge here in Mexico, I’d never get them.
One last question, is there an option for Paypal?

Thank you so much again Bob,
Edward

I just bought the Real R&B and the Real Country Fake Disks. I have the physical Real R&B book (and started playing out of it after receiving the Fake Disk - lots of fun). I had to order the physical copy of the Real Country Book, as I hadn't previously gotten that one.

Bob, can I also request that you consider doing the Real Pop Book (it's a pretty recent release). I have that book, but it would be nice to have the Fake Disk that goes along with it. A lot of good songs there.

Hi John,

Like any musician, we take requests, but we prefer them to be on the back of a winning lottery ticket laugh

Seriously, I just checked it out. Thanks for the suggestion. It will be on our next release for sure.

I'll also be releasing more MIDI styles next time. I didn't release any styles this year, and I got about a dozen requests for more MIDI styles so far.

Here you go, Bob. I have it on good authority that it is definitely a winning lottery ticket.

I don't know who exactly won it, but it was a winning lottery ticket.

I've used the "winning lottery" line a lot on stage.

One night, quite a few years ago, a regular customer came up with a request on a lottery ticket.

At the end of the gig he told us that it was a "quick pick" and just in case it was a winner, he bought one with the same numbers as the QP so that if we won, he would share the prize with us instead of be disappointed that he gave away a fortune.

It didn't win anything.

But we did know the song.

We've got this new, regular gig (couple of times per month) at a RV Resort (some of those rigs go for over a million dollars) and lately a lot of "soft rock" songs have been requested. We learned "Tin Man" a few weeks ago and we're working on Bob Seger's "Still The Same" now. But none of those requests came up on a winning lottery ticket frown

Such is life.

I assume that on the back of fin, sawbuck, or especially a frog or c-note would also work? wink

The bigger the number the harder we work laugh

On a serious note, in my duo http://www.s-cats.com we write down all the requests that we do not know.

If a song gets requested repeatedly, and we feel we can cover it, we learn it. And the songs that get requested the most get learned the fastest.

So our songlist (on the website) reflects our audience's taste in music.

Of course some of them were songs we learned for ourselves, but we get to request tunes too laugh

laugh laugh

We'll learn anything that is either requested often enough or for a regular audience member even if it's not. It's good for job security, and playing so many different styles of music is good for my playing skills as well.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
