A tune I composed a couple of days ago. Strathaird is in Skye in the highlands of Scotland.
Accordion used is my Scandalli super 6

Added a choir from the reason library.
This tune is a good example of why biab needs a very slow beautiful piano real track.
And a choir !!

****** Song Summary *************
Title: strathaird
File:strathaird.MGU
Key=D , Tempo 50, Length (m:s)=5:26

MIDI SuperTracks in song: 2056:Piano, Rhythm CelticAir Ev 085
RealTracks in song: 1595:Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking Pop8thsSteady Ev 065

Strathaird

Hi Graham,

Honestly, I never was very fond of accordion music until I started listening to you. I find every song you compose and play on the accordion to be so incredibly beautiful. This is another example of your finesse and skilled touch on the instrument. What a pleasure!

And I agree with you about BIAB needed choral voices and a beautiful slow piana that's not so staccato as the ones they have.

Again, simply beautiful!

Wishing you well,

Alan

Another classic delivery from you Graham.

The melody is both simplistic and really beautiful, and you have definitely done a great job with the choir.

Very nice indeed.

Thanks Alan, I originally had played it on the keyboard using violin as the main instrument but it just seemed too artificial. I aim to get a real fiddler playing it one of these days

Wow, furry, I thoroughly enjoyed this. One word that instantly comes to mind - beautiful. The playing you did on this is stunning. It's easy to sway to and get lost in, and equally as captivating.

Great job here - thanks so much for sharing smile

Hello, Graham

Your accordion play is always really nice!
The tone of yours is also splendid.
You use a different accordion for each song. How many accordions are owned?
The melody lines is very pleasant and nostalgic as usual.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Graham,
beatiful track and even more beautiful, sensitive, musical touch of your fingers on the accordion. Fantastic. I think you should record accordion real tracks for BIAB, I would surely buy them :-)

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
