I own BB2016 ultraplus (all realtracks 1-253) and made BB2017 pluspak upgrade (including 254-277). Also I have in Biab xtra-styles 1-4. Now the problem is missing RT components, about 100. Some in list: ----------------------- N/A RT2665: Bass, Electric, RockNRollBritSwingA-B Sw 140 , Doug Elliott N/A RT2666: Pedal Steel, Rhythm LushChordsSlow Ev 075 , Eddy Dunlap N/A RT2668: Pedal Steel, Background WestCoastBallad Ev 065 , Eddy Dunlap N/A RT2670: Pedal Steel, Background HippieTrainEddy Ev 110 , Eddy Dunlap N/A RT2679: Guitar, Electric, Rhythm ModernPop16thsLowZane Ev16 090 , Zane Carney N/A RT2681: Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Pop8thsZaneLow Ev 120 , Zane Carney N/A RT2683: Guitar, Electric, Rhythm PopRockWaltzZaneHigh Sw 120 , Zane Carney N/A RT2686: Guitar, Electric, Soloist BluesSlow12-8BrentSimple Sw 065 , Brent Mason N/A RT2690: Guitar, Electric, Soloist Slow16thsPopBrentSimple Ev16 075 , Brent Mason N/A RT2692: Organ, Rhythm ModernPopSlowMike Ev 075 , Mike Rojas ... ----------------
In which RT package can I find those missing compinents and is there any clever way figure out answer to my problem. Everything in RT tracks is ok until pluspak2017 upgrade. After that in almost every RT or xtra-pak contains missing components.
The ones you listed are in the PlusPAK, so they might be installed to a different location than the rest of the RealTracks in your 2016 Ultra. Are you using a custom folder for your RealTracks? (Check in the RealTracks Preferences dialog). If so, you could move the /Applications/Band-in-a-Box/RealTracks folder contents to the custom location.
I noticed that there was two "Direct Input" folders in filestructure. After that I studiet difference between old and new realtracks pkg-packages. 1-253 put files into "/Application/Band-in-a-Box/RealTracks/Direct Input" folder (old) . 254-277 put files into "/Application/Band-in-a-Box/Direct" (new). It looks like copy-script in packages have failure.
Then I copied files from "new" folder to "old" folder, made some music that uses missing RT-component. I heard the missing sound but after rebuilding stylepicker it shows still that RT-component is missing. Somehow RT-component database is corrupted and I can't correct it.
1-253 put files into "/Application/Band-in-a-Box/RealTracks/Direct Input" folder (old) . 254-277 put files into "/Application/Band-in-a-Box/Direct" (new).
I don't know why that would be, but the Direct Input folder contains the Direct Input unamped versions of some (mainly electric guitar and bass) RealTracks. All RealTracks folders should also be in Applications/Band-in-a-Box/RealTracks. Try doing a search for this folder "Guitar, Electric, Rhythm PopRockWaltzZaneHigh Sw 120" on your Mac HD, to see if it is anywhere. (that's just one of the ones you mentioned as being n/a. Also, if you are installing from a downloaded disk image, trying opening the RealTracks Packages folder and installing the packages individually, and see if that tells you anything...
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
