As we enter 2018 I want to get back to the music I grew up on. I was going for a late 60's early 70's vibe in this. This came about when I asked my little grand daughter how old she thought I was and she said "about 80". I laughed but thought, I am looking old on the outside but on the inside I'm still a teenager! I guess I'm trying to prove it here! LOL

Very nice straightforward pop song, I really enjoy your young sounding vocals smile. Lots of nice George Harrison feel in chording and the guitar solo. Excellent overall production. Not just 60's or 70's vibe, I can hear also modern influences.

60's and 70's is the music I grew up on too. And yeah, you never feel old on the inside, funny how that works.

Great stuff Torrey, very commercial sound. I like the harmony guitars!

Cool tune Torrey. Can totally relate with looking old but feeling lick a teenager. Super vocal and backtrack. Excellent guitar as well. Excellent tone and effects. Chorus maybe octave pedal ???

As I listen to your song, I could say you seems a super teen-ager!!!
We are middle-aged but we are much younger than some today young people.

Very nice song. Great performance as usual.
I feel a bit of George Harrison's style in this song.

Happy new year

I also am a product of 60 and 70's music. I grew older but I never grew up!

This is super all the way. Great backing tracks, super vocals and lyrics along with some great guitar playing.

This is a winner.

Super, Torrey!

A really nice pop write. Terrific melody - very catchy. Your vocals in this are excellent.

Super mix. Nice guitar work throughout. Great drum sound and a good punchy bass. Everything is well balanced. I hear the 60s/70s influences, but it struck me as having a Rundgren feel to it - I think he might be pleased to call this his...

Worth several listens.

Torrey,
I can hear the influences, but you have developed a sound which is instantly recognizable as your own and its showcased beautifully here.
You write really memorable melodies- this is one of your best.
Fantastic guitar, a high energy vocal and excellent mix... will head over to your cd preview.

Thanks Scott for all the nice words! The guitar lead parts are just a lead line on one track and then I came back and played a harmony line on a second track with some distortion on them. Thanks, T

My thoughts too. I really enjoyed this. I always enjoy your vocals, they never get old to me.

You captured the 70's vibe really well. I can hear a lot of various influences throughout the song and that keeps my interest.

Like Sergio we felt a Harrison feel. A bit like his early to mid period solo cuts.

Regardless of who one is reminded of or not it is another fine TB production. I think it was floyd that mentioned the great sound of the drums and bass. Yep, and not, at least for me, easy to achieve.

Standouts for us were the melody and your performances. Outstanding.

Great way to start the new year!

Torrey, This is very well written. Great vocals and melody. Nice guitar playing. The thing that I liked best is the chord changes. A hint of the early Beatles. Nice job on the mix and overall production. Pro level all the way, Tom

Torrey,

This is superb... and then some!

Confidence, competence and craftsmanship resonate resoundingly throughout this whole presentation.

Your excellent singing, and the melody and how you harmonised it mesmerised me. I found everything about this composition to be incredibly friendly and intriguing on the ears.

A wonderful work!

All the best for 2018,

Man, I just really like the feel of this song. It's catchy pop...but done well. You know, the kind of candy you could eat a lot of and still want more? Yeah, that.

You really do a great job with melody too.

Keep writing. So fun to listen to!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
