John Fogarty was good at creating signature riffs that were immediately recognizable with only a very few notes. You will remember these 25 instantly.

Hi Donnie my good friend!

I agree with most of these, but some, well let's say he borrowed from others.

BUT I still like CCR!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Dear friend,

Don Junior's guitarist, Paul Petrillo, aced Fogarty's guitar on all of Don's CCR parodies for Seattle DJ, Bob Rivers. Junior has done Fogarty's voice on all of Bob's "Twisted Tunes" albums, about 25 to date. I wanted to link you to samples but the site no longer exists. Bob retired but teaches BIAB at his Broadcasting Course at Green River College in Auburn, Washington.

This is awesome! Growing up, CCR was always playing in the house. They're one of my dad's favourites, which he thankfully past onto me.

I think I'm going to have to give them a good listen later on - I'm overdue! Thanks for sharing smile

Cheers,
Deryk

I used to listen to Twisted Tunes all the time and I loved those parodies. I heard Don Jr. singing Folgerty before I knew it was your son!

My point was some of those signature riffs were not originals. I didn't mean to rain on your parade.

Peace

Re: John Fogarty, yes, he came up with many great riffs back in the day! Not easy to do, and a good riff can turn an average song into a great song.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
