I reported this problem four days ago and haven't gotten a response yet. I tried to build a song using BERLIN.STY Berlin Traditional Polka. My song contains 188 measures, and has drums, guitar, accordion (which I mute), and bass. The bass track is #541, Bass, Electric, Pop Sw 190. Every time I play or attempt to regenerate this song, the bass stops playing at measure 127. All other instruments continue. I have tried regenerating just that track, and changing the instruments. Other instruments that I substitute also stop at measure 127. Any ideas about what may have happened?
It's very possible that you do not have the entire track selected. This caught me more than one time when I first got started.
The solution: scroll to the end of the song to the track ends. Some are longer than others. Select the longest track. Click on SELECT ENTIRE TRACK and you should see it highlighted from the start to the end....
NOW.... go in and select the real track you want to generate. It should generate to the full length.

I haven’t experienced this, nor read a problem statement about a dropout so specific. It’s rare but possible this song file is corrupted. I suggest recreating the song.
While it might take them a bit, it would still be worth freezing then sending the song file to support@pgmusic.com especially if a recreated song with the same instruments works.

Matt, I tried recreating the song by opening a new project with the same style and re-entering all my chords. The same thing happened. At Measure 127 my bass player quit and left the studio. Drummer and guitar player continued playing beautifully until the end of the song! I will try contacting support to see if they can help.
I understand that any instrument you put into the bass slot does the same thing, so it's not just bass RealTrack#541.
Strange.
How about the tempo of the song? Are you using instruments within, say, 10% of their recommended tempos?
Do you have a place on the Internet, like Dropbox (free) to post this song? I would like to try it. Freeze all tracks first. You can post the link here and several of us can try the song.
Unless it's a polka (kidding).

Sounds like your bass player decided to go to the bar and get a drink mid-song.
I would definitely contact PGMusic, or post your file (Dropbox or similar) so others here can take a look at it.
And of course the usual caveats - are you using the latest patch build? Have you done a reset to defaults? Are you running BIAB as administrator? Have you made sure RealTrack Picker, RealDrum Picker, and StylePicker databases have been rebuilt? Etc.

I would definitely fire him/her except it sounds like he/she is at least consistent.
I've actually been in a band where that happened. The guy was a guitar/fiddle player and was playing the fiddle. He simply put it down and went to the bar and bought and drank a beer.
His explanation was, he was thirsty. If it had been because he really needed to visit the bathroom.... ok, we could have understood that but, nope..... he "needed" a beer. He was fired.
Once you've played in a few bands, you've seen and experienced practically everything.

Specifically which version and build do you have of Band-in-a-Box (Help - About)? If you remove one of the other RealTracks, does the bass then play throughout the song?
I actually recreated the O/P's song as he had described, and it stopped playing bass for me too. Then I knew it was repeatable, and looking further it was then I spotted the Double-Time setting.
Thanks for the tip on the Style Maker. I changed it to normal time, saved as a new Style (added a 0 to the name) and it's now working - except the bass now sounds like a very lazy polka player

Thanks for looking into this. It sounds like I am limited by the double-time in that particular style. I guess I will have to use this style without the bass, and use my accordion to provide the bass during performance. Will I have to look for bass tracks without the double-time, or is there should I look for a different style? Since I am rather new, is there a way that PG can change or improve the functionality of the software for issues like mine? For reference, I am using BIAB 2018 build 510. By the way, the accordion track sounded just awful at playback, which is why I muted. Is this because I am trying to play a 2/4 polka? Most polkas are not written in 4/4 time. My arranger midi modules do a much better job generating accordion accompaniment than this style. I know I have a lot to learn, so I will be patient. Thanks again for all the help, everyone.
