Magical Voyage

As you sit by the babbling brook you become hypnotized by the water's flow and the red and golden fall leaves slowly falling and cascading downstream. Your mind is drifting away on a magical voyage.

BiaB style = Oceans-Very Slow New Age

I deleted the drums and slightly modified the rest of the tracks to better fit the song.

I am playing the leads on my MIDI keyboard controller.

Let me know what you think.

You have a wonderful musical mind Mario! This is a really dreamlike piece that certainly puts one in a hypnotic frame of mind! The harp part was an inspired choice! Thanks, Torrey

Very well done, Mario! It sets a really calming mood. I'd imagine this sounding perfect in a movie or video game, since it has a very cinematic feeling to it. The name you chose for this is definitely suiting! It makes me think of Enya a little bit.

Thanks for sharing smile

Cheers,
Deryk

Great mood, lovely chord progression and the melody sung by those angels is really captivating - I feel like I'm entering heaven smile You have done really good job to create this strong emotional voyage.

That is deep, dude. Ethereal. Really tasteful chord changes. I can see Stevie Nicks in her witchy clothes doing this.

I smashed the hell out of my car today. When the cops came I told him "Officer, that guy was BOTH texting and drinking a beer." The cop said "Sir, he has every right to do that. I mean, it's HIS living room..."

Mario,

Very nice. Terrific new age music. Relaxing, meditative...

It occurred to me while listening to this how VERY good your mixes on this type music are. SO good, in fact, that one does not even THINK about it as it goes by. Transparent. The ultimate in mixing. Bravo.

New enough not to feel to stupid when I ask: how did you access the style you used? I have BIAB 2017 plus, and while if I want to create a jazz bluegrass country etc. I have more choices than I want, I haven't come across anything like new age. Don't have a big enough package? Haven't looked hard enough? Love the piece, Mario

floyd really said it regarding the mix. If you don't think about it when listening then everything is, indeed, good.

This song was perfect for morning coffee and looking out the music room window at our forest. And the wind chimes were adding a nice touch to your song.

Nice!

Well Mario,

I drifted up into the sky and fell out of earth's orbit, so I guess I will catch you on the other side bro.

Thanks for the song man. I see stars, and it's really, really cold, but I see an orange rock, and maybe there is some food over there, but I also see fire, so I dunno.

But man, I hope we'll see one another again!!

Thanx so much Torrey. The nice thing about MIDI is that you can change sounds and modify the notes. That is what I did with the harp.

Thanx Peter. Every once in a while I get into a New Age mood so I have to write something either New Age or Ambient.

Thanx Deryk. I was hoping for a calming mood scenario. Enya was very good at that!

Thanx Janne so much. This was really a quick and dirty production taking only a couple of days. BiaB can set up such a foundation that the rest can be easy.....at times!

Thanx Eddie. BiaB allows me to experiment with chord progressions. That is basically what I use BiaB, thus I use maybe about 5% of what it is capable off doing.

Thanx Floyd. I am finding and my local musician friends agree that Studio One Pro mixes sound much clearer than the mixes I did in Sonar. I know that 1s and 0s are the same so it must be the effects that I am using. Anyway thanx so much for that "ultimate in mixing" comment. That made my day, especially from someone that always produces pro mixes.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
