Here is my arrangement of the old classic public domain hymn. Band In A Box has been invaluable in helping me keep things fresh and exciting in my role as a worship leader. This is an example of how the program helps me survive. I'm still working with the guitar lead sound and the bridge part of the song. Thanks in advance for the listen!

Nice! Love the intro, very cool. Great, jazzy groove happening on this. Mix sounds great through the 'phones.

I always love hearing you play, your guitar work is so tasteful, smooth, and fluid. Pure class!

Going back to give it another spin ...

Loved that fresh take on the hymn, Torrey. It was a great listen for this first Sunday of Lent. Thanks.

Torrey,
Love that funky bass and the echo(?) effect on your guitar.
Your soulful vocals and sweet harmonies are unmistakable.
Its cool to hear how your background in pop can remake a hymn in such a fresh awy without losing the sincerity of the lyrics.

Loved it! Super intro, great chops man and such a sweet tone on that axe of yours! Super message also.

This is a keeper.

Torrey,

A cool groove to this. Nice vocals.

Tasty guitar work (though, for my taste, it was a bit too much reverb - others like it, so it just goes to show...). Good mix.

Nice to hear hymns updated like this.

Nice work here, Torrey smile The arrangement sound really professional. I'm getting an early 90's vibe on this one. I love the groove on it too. I can imagine this sounding amazing performed live.

Great job, and thanks so much for sharing!

Torrey, really enjoyed it..I especially liked the 4 bars leading into the break around 2:00...minimal, but effective in letting your track resume it's punch. That's the message I need for Lent!

"Its cool to hear how your background in pop can remake a hymn in such a fresh awy without losing the sincerity of the lyrics."

Robert nailed our feelings with the above. We often find that a new arrangement of a traditional tune requires more time and effort than one that we write. You did an outstanding job of taking this to a new place...had to go and find an original to listen to.

Wonderful interpretation.

Love this hymn, Torrey. And really love what you have done with it. Great job on the vocals. Harmonies are great. Love the transition. Guitar work is spot on as usual. Also a very timely message in this song.

Hello, Torrey

Funky Gospel! Yes it's so funky.
It's a bit quirky but your Gospel style chorus is wonderful.
Your main vocal and guitar play are really nice as usual.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Gave it another listen, today, Torrey. Sounds so good.
I know that also as No Other Name but the Lowly Jesus.
Captivating hymn, that.

(Coming back with an edit 12.31)
Torrey, it sounds like in some places you are making a triplet out of the syllable "Trust." Any thoughts on that? I sounds pretty cool.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
