Do Your Magic (On My Soul)

Finally got around to finishing this...it's a "sweatheart" duet..I'm linking the two adjacent lyric lines with homonyms--kind of lyric-writing challenge. My "girlfriend" is a freeland vocalist I hired from fiverr.com. BIAB tech details below...thanks for listening!

------------------------------------

Babe, I'm so in love with YOU
YOU've been a dream for me.
Think of you all NIGHT
KNIGHT winning my heart are thee.
I don't care about the WEATHER
WHETHER or not the tale's been told.
Miss your kisses of DEW
DO your magic on my soul.

Darling love your eyes of BLUE
BLEW me away my love
What a life we'll WEAVE
WE'VE got gifts from far above.
There's a beauty in your PRESENCE
PRESENTS as rich as gold.
And those kisses like DEW
DO your magic on my soul.

in everything I think and do
There's a hint of you
Yes, I really do
Love you.

Whenever we're together's so
Easy
Breezy
So cool
Way cool!

Babe, you know this thing feels RIGHT
WRITE me a song my love
Something precious and NEW
KNEW our love is from above.

In everything I think and do
There's a hint of you
Yes, I really do
Love you.
Whenever we're together's so
Easy
Breezy
So cool
Way cool!

This is such a sweet and lovely song. I really love what you guys did with it and really enjoy the lyrics, especially:

"In everything I think and do there's a hint of you".

Thanks for sharing.

Great duo. Both the vocals are really good, sounds as if you've been singing together a long time.

Enjoyed my listen.

very well written sang and blended, definitely a kick back in time when songs were well thought out and delivered with adult phrasing rather than the " lets get drunk and screw " mentality of much of today's music. Much enjoyed !!!

Reminds a little of a song called "Something stupid" performed by Nancy Sinatra and Dean Martin. Very clever writing and performing style.
Congrats to both of you. Rob

Really nice. floydjane used exactly the right words: clever writing, nice instrumentation, good vocals. Only he used more adjectives, which were much deserved!

You nailed the string sound, too.

So cool. Way cool!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hello, Tom

This is so cute and lovely!
I can feel the influence of Bacharach and Jobim in this tune, but your originality is also strong.
The chord progression from "in everything I think and do" is really nice.
It is rather fresh that there is no reverb (or little reverb).
The duet also seems to be very fun.
It reminds me of "Something Stupid" sung by Sinatra and his daughter long ago.
I was carried out.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Sensational and innovative.

Lyrically you have produced an outstanding combination.

This has to be one of the best BiaB productions seen in many years.

And the scat and the breaks add great color.

Did I say sensational? Yes, but I'll say it again: Sensational!

Wow - what a tune! The male and female vocals on this one pair together perfectly. It sounds so sweet and sincere. Very pretty, and very nice on the ears smile It makes me think of a musical for some reason. A very solid listen - the groove and melodies are addictive!

Great work and thanks for sharing smile

Very fun and clever!! Very well delivered (female vocal is great). The vibe is perfect. I could see this playing with a silly love scene in a movie...two young lovers walking along the boardwalk and being playful...something like that. Enjoyed much!! Take care. Greg

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
