Here is a new song. It is a collaboration with Robert Cordrey supplying the lyrics and beautiful vocal by Greg Johnson. It started out as an instrumental in late December but as I was finishing it, I decided t to send it to Robert to see if it was suitable for lyrics. He sent back a demo with the most beautiful lyrics and vocal. Robert suggested that it maybe more suitable with a female vocal. I thought it would be perfect for Greg and he graciously accepted. Scott, Robert & Greg,
A very cool collaboration. A good write, a beautiful vocal and nice guitar work.
"between yet to be and might have been" - loved that line, Robert...
Nice music. Overall the mix is good. Early on, the vocal seemed too low - then toward the end my ear got accustomed to its level. But I think it might need to come up slightly.
Nice, y'all. This forum is SO cool!

When I saw the line up I knew this was going to be good. In fact, it's much better than that, it's great.
Very melodic, extremely well produced.
Another winner.

Scott had already named the instrumental he sent me and the melody fit nicely with a lullaby I started years ago... having that Wonderland word gave me the way to finish. Motto: be a packrat with your writing- everything can be remade! Thanks for the positive comments everyone.

This song is so mellow I had trouble following the lyrics because I just kept drifting off to some happy place. Thanks David. I see I did not word the part about Robert and I figuring out the vocal as the song in its original key was very high. I felt that Greg's vocal ability is so smooth and his range would really be good for the song. So glad you liked it..

Wonderful collaboration! On the music side, I liked the 6/8 tempo and all the little add-in's, like the organ and the female ahh's..lyric very mystical, introspective, evocative. Great job!!

Floating, mesmerizing, ethereal quickly come to mind. Then the lyric of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds drifted by and then Janice mentioned the almost Brian Wilson feel to the vocal.
This is what happens when the stars line (literally and figuratively) up for a collab. The write, the vocal and the guitar all seemed destined for this production. And a production that is superbly presented.
Outstanding!

Lovely stuff. It reminded me of Richard Hawley - the combination of lyrical guitar and crooned vocal. Have a listen to the man if you get a chance - the best of his is the Sky's Edge LP but it's also more aggressive. almost any of his LPs would do as a reference point though. Oh, he LOVES reverb. Well done - you're produced xxcellent stuff.

When I saw the line up I knew this was going to be good. In fact, it's much better than that, it's great.
Very melodic, extremely well produced.
Another winner. Scott, Robert and Greg, I totally agree Trevor. Robert, your lyrics enchanted me and I found myself thinking that these words are mysteriously ethereal. They hypnotised me. I really liked the lines... one rope round tomorrow the other yesterday between yet to be and might have been you and I will play Greg, your singing is superb and the perfect vehicle for the song. Scott was right. Your sense of melody shines with these words.... especially the repetitions. You took the song somewhere truly pleasant and peaceful. It was beautiful to listen to. Scott, you've done a fantastic job creating this music. The composition, its arrangement and its mix sit very, very comfortably in my headphones. I thoroughly enjoyed drifting along with the flow of the music. I'm heading back for another listen, now. All the best to everyone, Noel

Scott, Robert and Greg... I really enjoy this collaboration... Nice laid back work guys! What a nice surprise to see this song pop up again. I was so blessed to have Robert write the lyrics and help me mix this song and have Greg sing it. Thanks so much. Hey there Scott, I really enjoyed the overall tone of this! I found it very easy to listen and the vibe is very appealing. Excellent guitar riffs too. The lyrics are inspiring and follow the contour nicely. Well done! Thanks Joe for having a listen to the song. I really appreciate it..

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
