Always happy to help - I consider it an honour to be asked.

Hope the RV project does as smoothly as the song.

That was a fun listen! Up tempo, rocking with an attitude.

Nice write, good mix, good vocals.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

great song Eddie, enjoy the trips, we did it for about 12 years. traveling and working, not retired. I will retire in about 4 years, we will travel some for sure in a pull behind. We had a 5th wheel when we lived in it.

We enjoyed this upbeat well written, performed and produced rocker. Makes ya wanna get on the road! Go for it Eddie.

The "LIVEness" of this song is very apparent, and it was done in the feel of Jackson Brown's old harder edged stuff. Back in the day I used to do a thing to open that was Jackson's "The Road and the Sky" that was connected as a medley to "Redneck Friend", as they were almost the same song anyway. He had David Lindley in his band then playing slide and dobro and I wish I had the opportunity to put a good slide part in there. That led me to the Real Band Wish List request for more slide parts. grin

The full time RV life is a ways off. I have the RV and budgets dictate that I build it slowly, adding the solar panels and hardware first, then the towing package last. All while somehow funding a bathroom reno in my house. I can't even list it with this 1960s bathroom. Kitchen and living room are done. One bedroom is an office. The master doesn't need anything. The 2 upstairs bedrooms that are right now my music rooms I am not touching. Let the buyer do what they want.

When it happens there will be a blog, a youtube channel, and a photo album, so everybody can come with me!

Love this tune. Has a Randy Bachman (BTO) vibe to it. Excellent vocal and guitar

And as they say in my neighborhood, I'ma gon' do it too!!! Making calls to get my bathroom remodel going right now! Once that's done I can list the house. It won't sell with this 1965 bathroom.

"My RV"---that is a really good lyric hook. Using "V" gives you a lot of rhyming flexibility! And your lyric topic is a fun one that nearly everyone 'of a certain age' can relate to!

Consider posting your lyric...I like to read as I listen along. You have some really nice lyrical choices in there!

Especially like the harp background solo's. Thanks for sharing..hope you can still work musically while your 'wheeling around'!

That's the plan! The studio will go with me! AND run on solar power about half the time! I will get the lyrics up for you when I get back to that computer.

By request:

I was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio
The town that's widely known as the home of rock and roll
And as I look around, it's really clear
That there's really nothing much that’s keepin’ me here
So I made a short list of places I might go
Well I think I might head South to sunny Florida
Or maybe west to Nashville Tennessee
As I sat here thinking it occurred to me
That I can go anywhere I want to be
So I'm gonna be livin' on wheels in my RV

I really gotta say that life's been one good ride
Though I burned a lot of bridges once I got to the other side
Now that I'm retired, my time is mine
And I really like waking with the crack of nine
To do what I want, whatever I decide
So I think I might head out to Arizona
Or maybe to the desert in arid New Mexico
As long as I have money to pay for gas
It really doesn't matter where I plant my a$$
So I'm gonna be livin' on wheels in my RV

I packed my clothes and my music gear
And made a plan to get the hell outta here
No more winter, no more cold
I gotta do it now before I get too old

I think I might go down to Amarillo
The winds of west Texas sound mighty mighty good to me
So I'll say my goodbyes and be on my way
To take in all the beauty of the USA
And I'm gonna be livin' on wheels in my RV

Eddie, I really like this country rocker! The subject hits close to home. I will be out there 6 months out the year in a few more years hopefully. Until then I will follow your travels with great interest. I am sure we will cross paths in the future, Tom

Eddie, I love the song, and I strongly identify with the sentiment. My wife and I just got home from Arizona. Trust me, you will love it. I've considered doing an album of traveling songs based on the RV life. I think you might have a good start on that with this one.

All this talk of living on the road makes me want to cross the Atlantic,
buy an Airstream and hit the trail.

Maybe meet up with my old pal Eddie and do some gigs in the desert.

At least get away from all this English rain!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
