Bwahahahahaha... now THAT's funny. First, I'm glad you thought it was a good listen. Nope, you got the second part wrong.... I have to disagree about the mocking part. If anyone was being mocked in this song, it was ME. Heck, I picked up the techniques on post bumping from..... well, I'll just leave that one blank.... perhaps you can figure it out. But first and foremost I was drawing from personal experience. I stand guilty as charged to bumping posts.... well, maybe not "bumping" because I have a personal rule that I only reply to a post if someone else has commented. No gratuitous bumping, as a rule. But yup... I have done individual replies to many...and I think many here do as well.

Well said, It seems today some people have lost the abiity to laugh, lighten up and see the humor in things. Some people are now the self designated conduct police of what's politically correct or not. Some people get offended at the least little thing. Unfortunately, our world becomes too dull if we can't laugh at ourselves and have fun anymore. Are comedians now a dying profession? The only people left to poke fun at are Appalachian hillbillies. I'll admit there were probably some times I have been the same way. I've also probably been guilty of "bumping" by individually replying, but I felt the need to be gracious when someone took the time to listen and comment.

Again "Bump"

I've noticed this too. I'm new here ... and I've been told it's polite to reply to everyone and .... well geez that could be exhausting for some of the more popular posts. It does seem like that's what at least a lot of people do. So I've tried to. But I almost feel like somehow I shouldn't be since it throws it back up to the top and bumps someone else's post down.

I actually replied yesterday to a couple of people on a couple of my songs, and it ended up bumping my brand new song down ... which was probably not good for people seeing it.

So I'm stuck with being polite one way or being polite a different way, and the two are opposing forces.

Still learning the ropes, I guess.

Can't please everyone all the time, maybe only please a few people some of the time. No good answer. Someone will always be disgruntled about something or someone. I guess follow your heart and ignore the zingers.

Incidentally, I am laughing my rear off ... AND ... it's very well done. Good job! And the vocals were awesome. I wish I could get that grit and growl in my voice.

A wonderful lyric to build a song around. It has a "Garden Party" ring of familiarity to it....

<<< Are comedians now a dying profession? >>> Yep.

<<< I actually replied yesterday to a couple of people on a couple of my songs, and it ended up bumping my brand new song down ... which was probably not good for people seeing it. >>>

Phil, the trick is to reply to everyone's post first and place a reply on your post last, bumping yourself to the top.

<<< I've also probably been guilty of "bumping" >>>

In my best 'guilt ridden voice', me too. I like to do it surreptitiously in code with "I'm late to the party...."

This my first time listening, and I got a good chuckle smile Subject matter aside, I love that bluesy vibe here! Love the groove, love the progressions, love your vocals on it. I like how much energy it has too. You could say it definitely "bumps" :P

Great work, and thanks for sharing smile

Cheers,
Deryk

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
