Lyrics and Music by quekou

The guitar solo towards the last 1/3 part of the song is from BIAB realtracks. I programmed everything else.

Chinese Vocaloid is behind the vocal.
Thanks for listening.

This is google translation:

Fish swimming in fish tank
Can't swim out of the four walls
No choice cannot escape
as if watching a pantomime

Fish swimming in the glass
Can't swim past
No wings can't leave
Repeatedly showing black and white memories

Fish swimming in chaos
Can't call for help
Nobody cares I can't breathe
One-on-one lips are like mimes

Very cool backtrack. Love the kick drum. Really lays down a cool beat for the song. Loved the guitar..

Hello, quekou

All the accompaniments you programmed are splendid as usual.
As maybe it is due to being sung in Chinese, I feel a traditional Chinese feeling in this tune, especially in the melody.
Chinese Vocaloid behind the vocal is very cool.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Elegant soundtrack.. Excellently focused lyric idea., repeating the idea 3 different ways shows great skill in construction.. I also liked the gentle expansion of the background track with rhythmic elements, and the RT guitar solo was understated and didn't overwhelm the track.. Great track!!

This is fantastic. Nice sparse drums and instrumentation with lots of space in the mix, and I wouldn't have realized the vocal wasn't a real human. I love it.

I liked the other stuff on your channel too, Mirage sounds like a dreamy 2018 version of Sade.

Cheers, thanks for sharing!

Thanks Kent for your kind words. I like Sade. Someone mentioned before here that the Vocaloid I used and adjusted sounds a bit like her and I listened to some songs of Sade and I can see the similarities. Thanks for listening.

Thank you for your comments. I really appreciated it. I didn't use much realtrack in this song other than the guitar solo that appears towards the end of the song. This shows the versatility of this product. In my opinion, it adds that organic feel to the song. I do play guitar but I 'd never be able to play that good.

Thank you Scott for your kind comment. I programmed the basic drum pattern and then added a layer of loops over it.

Thank you, Shigeki for your kind words. Yes, it might contain some traditional Chinese melody element in the melody though I didn't try to incorporate it on purpose. smile Are you from Japan judging from your username?

Wow - this is incredible! I love how spacious and viby it is. The mixing and programming is nearly flawless. Also, I don't think I've ever heard such a convincing vocaloid.

Great work! Thanks so much for sharing smile

Cheers,
Deryk

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
