Hi all,
after a long time I am here again with a new music.

ATLANTIS

https://soundcloud.com/sergio-guarneri/atlantis

It's a rock instrumental as usual. I like it a lot and I think it's one of my best.

Style is _THRAAMP.STY (Amplitube Metal Chug w/ Organ)

THE BAND:

RealTracks in song: 1826:Bass, Electric, PopModernGrooveSync4s Ev16 075
RealTracks in style: ~689:Organ, B3, Background Pop Ev 085
RealTracks in style: 639:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockThrash Ev 085
RealTracks in style: 642:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockThrashHollow Ev 085
RealTracks in song: 2305:Synth, Background DanceRockTensionPad Ev 120
RealDrums in style: RockThrashHalfTimeEv16^1-a:Snare, Bell Ride , b:Snare, Crash Ride

I used Amplitube also for the Lead guitar (my Gretsch) smirk

I hope you like it.

I'd have to agree - easily one of your best and thoroughly enjoyable.
Nice melodic playing and a really powerful backing.
Great stuff!

Sergio,

Absolutely one of your best! I love the chunky rock feel of this track. The backing RTs sound great and your Gretsch is outstanding...

Excellent!

Sergio,

YES! This IS your best, I agree, too...

The distorted guitar works perfectly for this - and a really nice backing track to carry it. Nicely played. The simple drum break works well, too.

Good mix. An excellent listen.

Welcome back, Sergio! I love the progressive rock edge here. I'm almost getting a King Crimson sort of vibe on this one - and that is absolutely a compliment! Wonderful progressions too, and some wicked playing to boot.

Great work & thanks for sharing smile

Wow! I agree with Dreyk regarding the King Crimson feel (a band I saw at a 1970 festival).

The work you must have put into this really shows with the write, the arrangement and of course your great playing. The little drum break is cool also.

This is a memorable track that we immediately wanted to listen to again.

Outstanding!!

I really enjoyed this instrumental! I also really dig the name choice for the song. Atlantis always fascinated me.

Really good, though! I really enjoyed what you did with this particular song.

Powerful Sergio! Those dirty chugging guitars really drive and your playing carries lots of emotion... reminds me of Neil Young in his Live Rust phase.
Very, very good!

Sergio.. This is a style that I would probably never choose, but I am happy that I listened to this track, because it helps me expand my thinking about how I can use unfamiliar styles.. You did a tremendous job with this one.. I especially like how, around the 2:00 mark you seemed to double your solo guitar with the other instruments.. and you used the BIAB tools, like section changes, perfectly. I'll be looking forward to hearing more!!

It's a cool thing Sergio though I found the mix placing the melody to a side was odd and a little unbalanced as a result.
There's a CK RED style progression starting around 1.53 that becomes more so as it moved along the fret board.
To get a closer KC vibe I'd recommend using the Mel9 pedal it'd REALLy push this into KC territory.

Cheers

Great dirty rocking sound gives the darkish melody really nice haunting mood. I can feel Atlantis sinking into the waves of the ocean. I like the drum break.

Hi Sergio, though rock has never be my cup of tea i appreciate good music when I hear it. The effort on this one is outstanding, so is your playing. I can see this tune used in some action movie background.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
