The day tempo needs to be set the same.

I agree with John.

It sounds like you might have a mixture of Realtracks/drums and midi. If the Realtracks are saved with acid information, they will be affected by the tempo of Cubase. The midi will also be affected.

If you had Realtracks saved without acid information, the tempo of Cubase will not matter. The tempo will still be interpreted by any midi, though. This could lead to tracks not being friendly with one another on playback.

Regards,
Noel

How did you transfer them?

Drag/Drop? (if so, just dragging tracks, or using the Drag/Drop feature in RB .. or DAW)
I've transferred files many ways. At most convenient level I've selected a track in RB and simply dragged it into Reaper (by grabbing the Track number in RB and dragging it to the Reaper Track area) while both were open.

On other projects I've had to export each track, which can have differing results, a couple of possibilities were mentioned above as for the reason (Tempo difference, Acidized track, etc.).
Knowing how you transferred them could narrow down possible fixes fairly quickly.

There's also "Save Track to file" in some versions .. lot's of different ways to do this.

Yep... you want to be sure to turn off the acidized info. It will change the tempo and key and some other stuff as well.

I always select the ENTIRE track in RB and copy them or RENDER them to a folder. The folder is for that song project and has ALL the files related to the song. BB and RB as well as finished waves.

In my DAW...SONAR, I use the import command and also set the tempo the same as BB/RB. I am sure to place all the files at the very beginning of the DAW track.

Doing those things, I never have a problem. I also NEVER copy and paste out of either BB or RB because it never seems to work right. It literally only takes a few seconds to import each track from the folder.

Herb, do you save as WAV and then import to your DAW? I have tried drag and drop several times and found it to be inconsistent. Now, since I ALWAYS save individual tracks to WAV anyway, I just import when I use another DAW. Most of the time my DAW ends up being whatever Rog uses, so....

He is going to be busy when he gets back from vacation..... because I have been busy....

I smashed the hell out of my car today. When the cops came I told him "Officer, that guy was BOTH texting and drinking a beer." The cop said "Sir, he has every right to do that. I mean, it's HIS living room..."

What I notice with some is that they will try to auto loop or warp the audio track after import/drop.

Mixcraft and Ableton use warp markers to try and automatically sync the audio, and I think Cubase does the same. You will have to make sure it's not enabled.

Other than that I did have problems trying to drag sections of a track. I only drag and drop the entire track now. I also make sure the DAW is set to the same tempo and/or key.

Edit: The thing is you may not notice the effects because it will get the tempo right most of the time. I see Cubase calls it "Audio Warp." You might want to check that.

Yes.

First thing I do once I realize I'm going to work on a song to finish it,is, I create a folder and place it in my YEARLY Projcts folder. I save my BB & RB projects in there, and also the individual waves rendered from the RB session. Some times I do not save the RB project, just the waves from it.

I then import those individual waves into Sonar tracks for finishing the project.

I had tried to use the drag and drop function in RB but when I drop them into Sonar, all sorts of wonky thing happen...like I'm dragging just one track and in Sonar, I get over a dozen new blank tracks suddenly appear and the content is nowhere to be found. So I stopped using that method after deleting dozens of tracks that weren't needed.

FWIW, I've found the most success/convenience by not using the Drag Station in the corner of RB.
Instead I'll grab the track by the track number box and drag into a blank track area in Reaper, etc.
It brings the song and track name this way, along with the audio.

Yes, having matching tempos ahead of time saves lots of headaches.

Yeah, but I'm not sure about Cubase? I can do the same in Mixcraft, but in Studio One it needs to hit the station first.

Right, when we made this feature, we found that some DAWs don't accept the drag and drop if the WAV file hasn't been created yet, so we added the Drop station for those situations.

With other DAWs (like Reaper), this isn't an issue so the Drop station can be bypassed completely.

Cheers
