Hi all. This is a typical early sixties tune with predictable and repetitive lyrics.
The only thing that doesn't fit the 60's genre is the guitar bridge.
Let me know what you think. All comments welcome. Rob

Dont say good bye

Stop please my love don't want you to go (don't want you to go)
Stop please my love I need you so (I'm needing you so)

Chorus

When the rain starts falling down and I see you cry.
I will help you all I can don't say good bye.

Bridge

Chorus
When the rain starts falling down and I see you cry.
I will help you all I can don't say good bye.

Verse
Stop please my love don't want you to go (don't want you to go)
Stop please my love I need you so (I'm needing you so)

Chorus

When the rain starts falling down and I see you cry.
I will help you all I can don't say good bye.

bridge

Chorus
When the rain starts falling down and I see you cry.
I will help you all I can don't say good bye.

When the rain starts falling down and I see you cry.
I will help you all I can don't say good bye.

Great job on this, Rob.

Definitely sounds like an early 60's AM radio hit. I assume this will be available on 45's? smile

The heavy guitar solo is an interesting choice. Was sort of expecting a sax there...

Super vocal and backgrounds. Good mix.

Floyd's right about nailing it as a 60' AM radio song. The song could have been arranged to have a theme-ish stop.... a breathing moment for reflection, to give the song a moment of now-ness. Bridge was OK, it acted as temporary breathing zone. Vocals carried the song through though. A saving grace!

Robert,

I love the feel of this... Great mix and vocals. The guitar solo was also a nice surprise and fit well.

Excellent!

Love this Rob. Took me back to a different place and time. Super vocal and lyric. Guitar was excellent. Loved the reverb...

Rob,
you've really tamed the errant sounds quite a bit - essing is only apparent with the reverb now - your keyboard additions work a treat.
This is a very tidy, friendly, enjoyable package.
Great work.

Cheers

I'm a 60's love the sounds and songs guy and you did a great job here. The vocals and overall vibe of the song puts this as a song Terry Stafford would have done. Enjoyed my listen.

Whoa! This is awesome in my book. It's so authentic. I love that more than you can imagine. Man, everything was so well done. I will admit the guitar caught me a bit off guard at first. Then I settled into it and was fine.

I am such a sucker for background vocals and yours are top notch, right down to the little touches like the "la la la" at 1:19.

Truly pro reproduction of an era in my opinion. If you do 100 of these, I'll have 100 songs I love from you.

Thank you so much for making this!

Rob4580,

This sounds smack out of the late50’s, early 60’s. You’ve done a terrific job of recreating the sound while also making it fresh and new. Nice vocal as well, and a song that invites the listener to sing along. Killer stuff!

Humble regards,

Deej

Hello, Rob.

Very nostalgic!
Everything makes me feel the rock of the 1960s.
Snare drum rhythm, back chorus, melody.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
