Fun track to listen to! Production was really good! I love the guitar solo work, love the vocal, the lyrics and rhyming scheme very clever and kept to the message. Nice little modulation towards the end to start to take a song out. Great collaboration! Thanks much appreciated. Peter

Ah. "Promise you roses But you end up with weeds" classic line. Great song. well done the four of you! Really nice job here! Janice's vocals here are on point, and I love the groove on this one. It reminds me of certain tunes by Feist, if you are familiar with her (not sure how popular she is outside of Canada). Really catchy, and easy on the ears. Great work, and thanks for sharing Very good song, excellent playing and the vocal is top notch!!! Thank y’all so much. Hey, Derek, I’ll listen to Feist this evening. Janice

Janice has those smooth-as-silk vocals that add really nice feel to this bluesy piece. Some great playing and lyrics there, Peter. Great job, guys. Keep 'em coming. Buford Thanks appreciate the comments. Peter

Hi PeterF It's a good song, well produced. Janice's vocals fit well. Like the cartoon cover. Instruments nicely managed. Definitely enjoyed this. Thanks glad you liked it. Peter

Peter, Janice and Leon,
However I look at it, this is really a fantastic collaboration. You've all intertwined your efforts to create something that is enjoyable, so very easy to listen to, arranged with flair and produced with a super quality.
The vocals are awesome and the guitar work is excellent.
All the best, Noel Thanks for the comments and support Noel. Peter

Leon, Peter, Janice, (& Bud)...
Exceptional.
An excellent write (so...why do we never hear from Leon? He should be a part of the conversation...).
Janice simply NEVER misses.
Peter, your guitar work in this is SWEEEET!
The whole vibe of the music is superb. I agree with an earlier comment that the piano is mixed too low (the piano is a percussive instrument and should have that "presence"). That is a small thing, though... This is a terrific piece of music.
fj Thanks floyd appreciate the comments. I continue to work on Leon perhaps one day(he keeps threatening to retire and may have some time on his hands if he did). It's hard to make a bad song with Janice singing. Peter

Yep, great... intro, lyrics, singing, mix. As usual, Janice is stellar. I played some guitar solos. Hehe. Talk about understating your contribution. The unprepared modulation hits my by surprise each time I hear this. Cool! Peter,Leon,J&B, Yes, love that intro- Janice sounds like she enjoyed this ( interesting to hear how well done the doubled vocal is too). Leon contributes some of the smartest lyrics on this forum and this is another excellent write. Guitar playing is also right up there. Take it to the bank!
Robert
jeez what a song ,geez what a singer ,But who mixed it .
There is a piano doing its stuff for the singer to get a flavoring from, yet to us listeners its too low.
Guitar stunning though I felt the bass and drums were low as well.
Don't attack guys I'm critiquing this on your level of production ,performance and past history. Thanks y’all. When Peter and Leon invite me in I always know it’s going to be fun! Janice
