I also got a chuckle out of this.

I wonder if they are heavy metal fans?

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Heavy copper wire, at the very least....

So they don't just listen to music straight from their cell phone speakers? It's "like, almost as good."

I'm betting they are using the Siltech Emperor Crown audio cables too– over $40,000

http://most-expensive.com/audio-cables

After all, who wants to run their audio stream through ordinary copper wires? Not me for sure. Oh wait.... yeah, on second thought I do.... maybe that's why my mixes sound bad.

Bet biab would sound good through that hardware.

Pgmusic should contact them, bet they would turn out great fans and buy the audiophile version of biab every time

Well, where I work we do have a room with lots of stuff like this, though not quite as expensive.
There's the speakers, much like those shown here
https://i.pinimg.com/originals/af/c9/4c/afc94c3fe99e310eb508915351a0e71d.jpg
and here
http://photobucket.com/gallery/user/krille1981/media/cGF0aDpEaXZlcnNlIGJpbGRlci9Db29sIHNwZWFrZXIgc3lzdGVtcy9JTUdfMDcxNV96cHMzZjIxNGYwZC5qcGc=/

We also have the subwoofer unit that matches those speakers (all are electrostatic) .. and exotic D/A units, power cleaners, etc. Separate tube amps for each speaker, the obligatory extra heavy cables (I think some are Zentara brand), nice vinyl spinners (my kids call them giant CD's), etc.
The next door room I work in usually has a set or two of other high end speakers, other D/As, amps etc.

Some people I work with like to A/B different equipment combinations. When we're not too busy there is a weekly open invite Audiophile night .. just to listen to various things on various systems. Bring whatever source you want to use, or some new speakers to compare .. it's a nice relaxing time, and fun.

We took a work trip to a large audiophile convention in Chicago couple years back. It was amazing to see what kind of systems some people have assembled, and the variety of options. If you have it to spend, you can spend a ton of money on that stuff. Diminishing returns comes into play real fast though.
Learned a lot that weekend.

Genius MusicLover,

So I want to start a thread where we use BIAB audiophile to create $50,000 per file audiophile super songs using string theory and sold only in their pure 1.5 gigabyte form and only for people who can prove their stereo system is audiophile enough and expensive enough to play our superior product.

Larry Kehl will do youtubes explaining the quantum mechanics of it all, Herb can explain how we have to rewire your house, I can explain tube amps and Shigeki can be our Japanese spokeperson.

Eddie can visit people if they don't pay. PG Music can collect and take a percentage and showcase at NAMM.

Have I left anything out??

You guys should resell this. The 20 second teleportation tweak is a must.

And scientifically proven to be totally legit.

Clearly these people have not seen Ethan Winer's AES talks on audio myths. Mac posted it in our fair forum a long time ago. Most of these gimmicks are covered in that workshop.

7. There are no standards for polarity so the odds are quite good the CD you are listening to right now is out of absolute polarity

Now I know why my mixes suck.

If your room acoustic sucks, go for the Blue Meanies, problem solved.

Wow, I can't imagine needing to move your couch just to get in to your fridge. I have a hard enough time moving my cat out of the way, let along something much, much large. Spending 100k on giant speakers also seems crazy, but then again I have a hard time parting with 2$ for a pack of gum.

So, you pay $100,000 for speakers to play in a little room that you can barely walk around in? Boy, I bet that sounds wonderful...NOT!

For that price, you can go go see all the acts live in concert hundreds and hundreds of times.

These folks will rarely if ever submit to a double blind study regarding their aural acuity. Just like many wine reviewers will not submit to a DB study regarding their gustatory acuity. Wonder why?

Hahahahaha! Love that 70's reference.

How could I resist it after aural acuity?

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
