My first thoughts were John Denver but this is way more complex vocal wise. The strings are a good touch. Very pretty emotional tune. Really enjoyed my listen. Nicely done. Rob

Robert,
This has a very haunting sound. The backing, your vivid lyric imagery sung with soft and gentle vocals and the restful flow of lyrics and melody created a very pleasant effect. Your choice of instrumentation was excellent. You captured my imagination!
All the best, Noel

Well done! The strings were especially lovely, especially in stereo.
Nicely sung, evocative lyrics.
The sparse arrangement works really well.

Very nice, Robert!
As always lots of great lines. My favorite: "I`ve seen other dreams show up a day too late a dollar short a little out of tune"
Nice job on the track too, I like it when the strings come in and the chingching loop is subtle and effective.

Robert,
"Lovely" describes this in so many ways...
A lovely write, a lovely arrangement - perfect RT choices, A lovely vocal...
"in your bangles and petals I guess you heard B-side songs from a lonely room"
Nice.
(This once brought to mind Murray McLauchlan)

Bob Bob, Thank you! I`ve been working on a formula for vocals on the folky tunes that sure makes the mixing easier. Glad you liked this. All the best, Noel Noel, Good to hear that the effect was pleasant- funnily enough I found the lyrics on this song difficult ( many rewrites), so thank you for saying the result of my struggles has a flow! Robert

There simply aren't enough superlatives to adequately describe the gentle beauty of this song. And wow - what gorgeous vocal! If beauty didn't already have a definition, this would be the perfect way to describe it. Alan

The sparse arrangement works really well. Thank you, glad you liked this. The high/low violins seemed to work better than cello on this song ( and eliminates that niggly question about panning for the solo). Robert

“we rolled up the clouds I lost some grey to the rain and dust our own patch of dirt in flints and flowers somewhere we dug up the boy and girl we were”
Robert, this is a stunningly beautiful write. Rich, rich imagery.
The band, your vocal and the production more than do justice to the write.
And the strings were a very special addition.
Lovely!

Hello, Robert
Very beautiful. Your vocal perfectly fits this tune. It is very nice and very natural to use the ordinary chord progression of D-Bm-G-A7, but using them shifting their bar lengths slightly. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
