It has been posted about it before, but I don't think it has been solved, so i post it again. It happened to me last night when I imported a BiaB song for editing/adding more melody notes and lyric. The song I opened had 4 verses (not chorus) with each verse was 16 bars long. So I wanted to add one more verse and copied the chords of the last 16 bars to 16 new bars. Then I copied/pasted the 16 last bars of melody notes to this new part.
Then I started add the lyric to this new verse. And here the strange thing happened. When finish the last vers, I played the song, and the last vers I had just added appeared as the first vers !... Ok, so I rewrote the lyric to the first vers, and checked it again.. Now, the lyric i just typed inn as the 1. verse also appeared in the last verse! So, whatever I typed in the first vers was overwriting also to the last vers, and whatever I typed in the last verse overwriting the lyric in the first verse...
This must be some strange bug somewhere, eh? Or is it a way to solve this?

The problem seems to occur after you delete measures, or copy / insert melody and lyrics. I have never been able to track down any specific actions that causes this to happen.
My answer is not to let it happen in the first place. Do lots of SAVEs after each action. Check the result after each delete / insert and save a correct result. I have found that inserting a number of blank bars and then copy and pasting seems to give me better results. Deleting bars seems to cause me the most trouble.
The problem has been with us for a very long time - probably since PGM introduced fake sheet and multiple verse printing. Looks like we may have to live with it forever.

Real Band and the Bars Window.
To me cutting/pasting is a classic DAW function and while Biab can probably be made to do it, it's very clunky because Biab is not a DAW. If there is a way to do this in Biab I don't care because RB has the Bars window and it's very easy to use. It's an X/Y grid where the X is your tracks vertically on the left and Y is the bars shown horizontally from left to right. Put your mouse on whatever track and bar you want to either copy or delete, hold down the left click button and swipe. The highlighted area is what you're modifying so to copy you hit Ctl C. To insert put the cursor on the bar you want and hit Ctl V. That section is inserted in front of that bar. It's faster than it just took me to explain it.

I've come across this problem, too. Unfortunately, I haven't managed to track it down and find the sequence of steps that reproduce it.
What I've learnt to do is save my work when the lyrics are correct then if they get jumbled, I go back to the previous version and go from there.
I have found that when the jumbling that you speak of happens, it's always best to shut BIAB down, restart it and try again. That usually works for me.

Thank's for the replay guys.. When I just saved the song and opened it again, everything worked as it should.. Next time I think I do the copying/paste, then save it, then open it again to enter the lyric.. So will see then if I can avoid this problem... Always learning something new here...;)

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
