Love the groove on this one. You had me in your back pocket from the git-go.

Outstanding vocal. That sax lead fit perfectly. Super mix.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Soul Soul Soul ..Brilliant song and the rhythm is all there I was gone.

Back to the ole soul ways of life.

The music to me sounded similar in style to an old program/ film called Shaft.

You have a great unique voice.

Lawrence,

Love that gravelly voice -you can sing anything, but its good to hear you get funky like this.
Personally I like the growly bass.
Lyrics have the attitude I`d expect to match the groove.
A cool song to make your reemergence here!

Ahh yes!! At last another gruve song for our fav playlist...woohoo!

We're not gonna parse it out...rather listen again.

Take a soul packed vocal, a great write, a cool arrangement and a great production...put it all together and you have a pro sounding radio/streaming platform ready sound. We can so easily hear this on the curated playlists we listen to daily on Apple Music.

Good as it gets and thanks for sharing it!!!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

This performance of yours is truly the stuff of inspiration. It rings with sincerity, commitment, raw honesty and competence. From start to end, the track sizzles! As with all your songs, once I started listening, there was no turning back! Love that note that you use for "close". Super writing and arranging and mega-super singing!

All the best,
Noel
Noel, thank for your kind words. You are always very generous.
I'm glad to hear that the commitment comes through. On a song like this I think you have to really "go for it".

Nice arrangement and mix too too, lots of interest in the way you bring in the instruments and use the stereo spectrum, sounds fabulous through the 'phones.

What a tune! I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Your vocal performance is top notch, and that funky groove is fantastic. Super catchy as well, and very well put together. All the instruments compliment one another perfectly and the mix is crisp and professional.

Great work and thanks for sharing smile

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
