When trying to load vsti none of the interfaces show up only the name of the synth etc. this is with BBpro 2018 on Windows 10 latest update. Would appreciate some help with this. Thanks Roy
If you want to see the vst GUI control panel. When in BIAB chord sheet click on the plug-in tab in the mixer you should see the name of the vst s loaded in the tracks. Click on the name probably top left if only one vst loaded in track. The GUI will pop up. Mike
Hi Mike, thats not the problem, its when I try to add new vst then the screen where the interface should display so that i can pick a patch of make other settings, nothing displays at all. Thanks Roy
The add vst function allows you to browse to where you keep your vst s and ad it to the list of vst that biab can load into one of its slots . You can then select from the slot pull down menu. The top slot is the only slot you can load a vsti instrument say a GM synth. This is the slot used by what you want to be your Default synth The other 3 are for effects vst Once loaded in a slot for the track you want you will see the vst gui The pic below shows a Mini Moog vsti loaded in the top slot.
a PS, if your windows is 64bit: BIAB is (still) 32bit, although it runs OK on 64bit windows 10 etc. But it will load 32bit VST plugins only, so if you have 64bit plugins you will need jBridge to convert them. - F
Ok I have jbridge so I'll give that a try. But I've re installed BB and providing I don't use Cakewalk only plugs it seems ok apart from one or two plugs which may work with jbridge. Thanks Roy.
Something else to keep in mind that has sometimes caught users out is that the plugins dialogue in BIAB is for VST and VSTi, it does not load DXi (these are picked up via Windows registry).

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
