The Right To Bear Herbs

I think the lyrics stand out and are plenty clear enough to hear, but I'll write them up if people need it.

The details of what BIAB stuff I used is on my other computer...I'll write that up later, too. IIRC the style is something like "Rap 1 "

All the tracks in this tune are BIAB, besides the vocals (obviously).

Enjoy!

Hi.
Interesting satire. Got this old school Hip Hop vibe to it... for some strange reason "Vanilla Ice" came to mind.

I like your cover too smile

Thanks for posting!

Great work on this Dioechooto, this was wonderful! The arrangement is a pleasure to listen to and I dig the overall timbres. The vocals harmonize well with the other instruments. Looking forward to hear more!

Thank you all, I appreciate your giving it a listen, and your comments!

BIAB is an awesome program...really just amazing! So versatile, so powerful.

For example, I just tried out for the first time the button that shows the notes of a selected instrument light up on the guitar fretboard. Man, that is pretty nifty, you know? What a great learning tool!

I love jazz music, but as a guitarist? Nah, man, I don't even...I can't...there's just no way. Realistically. You know? BUT! What I can do, even at this late stage in my game, is borrow a little from the approach.

Seeing the notes playing in real time, being able to easily slow the tempo, change the key...man, that's really neat!

Cool lyric. One of our new vendors up here in Canada may pick it up as great advertising hook. Well done.

Wow, that's exciting! Please keep me posted!

Thanks so much for the kind words, Scott...I've been struggling and boy o' boy do they ever help sometimes, you know?
And for sharing this with that vendor? Priceless, bro...MUCH appreciated!

I actually have another tune that could be reworked a bit to serve up a commercial hook in the same "vein"**, should there be any interest

** something of a quip... there's a wonderfully therapeutic herb common name of kratom, that has various strains with three major categories "red vein", "green vein", "white vein"

Very cool song and I love the protest aspect to it. There's a lot of rights in our bill of rights, herbs are not there but,,,, hey I'm all in with you. It's a plant. They can't throw a patent on it so... it remains illegal in most places still. Yep, it has proven therapeutic value and more will be discovered I'm sure.

Loved the groove in the song.

Very nice tune, and a interesting message. Definitely a change of pace musically to what is usually on the forums. I thought it had a nice groove and was nicely catchy too. Thanks for sharing!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
